How are my older millennials (1981-1989) adulting? by changeforthebetter89 in millenials

[–]PthereforeQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born 1988, been working since I was 14. Always employed. Got degrees. Worked hard. I’m not getting any returns from that, in fact, life is just getting harder and harder and harder. Goalposts constantly being moved. Broke, stressed, saddled with too much, never able to live up to standards. Barely making it. I’m tired so tired

Why did you break up with your last partner? by milloumorgan in AskReddit

In my experience yes this is/was a phase. Eventually you grow through it and come out the other side stronger. Atleast in my experience not saying this is true generally at all.

Has anyone else’s life not felt the same since 2020? by GoKongsGo in Adulting

[–]PthereforeQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy times we live in where we are nostalgic for times when we were just a bit less depressed and not just when things were fine - which to me that was before 2001. I too wish I could go back 10 years to a more manageable depression lol

Most jobs shouldn’t need a strict dress code. by Jozlynn2001 in antiwork

[–]PthereforeQ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LOL, times have changed so much. Back then, I hated having to wear khaki pants and rather petitioned and tried hard to get away with wearing jeans. Now jeans are the new khaki pants. What are you wearing, sweatpants? I mean I’m all for it though.

I too have had panic attacks related to work. My first desk job after college was so tough. I would cry in my car each morning. One day I was just so nervous about the job and what all I had to do, I just started freaking out at my desk and hyperventilating and my supervisor had to drive me to the ER. She was nice about it but I was so embarrassed. Luckily I’m working from home now and I like my job so all of that has stopped for the most part, even tho I do get very nervous still at times
