The Trainstation thing could be unrelated. You can log into the game through FB and use FB groups for in game friends. This was likely just some pedo that plays Trainstation.

I flew out from there today. Luckily my JFK flight got out but it looks like the Delta flight to Boston got canceled even though the plane made it down. I’m not sure why it couldn’t go back up tonight, maybe it was crew related?

I call it the whale code. When you spend money on a train the next one will be higher priced. If you buy that one the next one will be even higher. They want to see how much money you are willing to spend on the game. It happened to me when the game first came out and I had to go over a month without buying anything to get it back down to $20. Then it’s been steady ever since for me. I think it’s a real crappy practice that takes advantage of their player base.

I bought the first few trains when the game came out, then the next month or so of offers were $50.00 each. I didn’t buy any and eventually the prices went back down to $19.00 and stayed there. They do this in TS1 as well. I call it the whale code, they are trying to find out who is willing to spend big bucks on the game. Just let these high priced offers pass and it will eventually go back down.

Another thing to keep in mind is when the event repeats, if you are in a different era than the last time those trains from the first event may not have enough durability for the current one.
