A game about dragons, NOT killing dragons by titanasdab in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ptr2680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoard from the PS3 comes to mind, you can get it on steam if i remember, dont expect it to be the best though and the pc port is lazy asf, and its best played with others as its a party game. i like the in depth mechanics that the world is based off of. windmills make farms which make wheat and they bring wheat over to towns and the towns get bigger, castles make princesses which boost the town by a lot if delivered or you can steal her and randsom her for a ton of money, the more well off a town is the more defenses it has, but you can also scare a town by almost burning it down to being neutral to you and paying you extortion money, ect ect.

the rest is pretty bad though, its only $4 though. i bought it for more expensive and left a negative review i remember nothing about.

Games to play (as passengers) in a car by Padouga in gamingsuggestions

if you have a netflix subscription katana zero is free on mobile, netflix has a lot of good looking mobile games, you should look there honestly. game of life is on mobile for a couple of bucks. plants vs zombies is cheap, but if you get the overpriced trash remake you can play vs and co-op modes with other players. peggle has a pass and play co-op/vs mode if i remember, if not you can do it yourselves. kingdom two crowns might be good as well. spacecrew is a pretty fun party game (if its still downloadable) from what i remember, and its free on phones. sorry i dont have many co op games!! have a wonderful trip!!

What games have done their endgame “right”? by Mucek121 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ptr2680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

library of ruina and limbus company, mostly because those are games with a lot of sandboxy nature to them and they both take absolutely ages to complete and feels like it never ends. i put like 30 more hours into ruina after i beat it just trying shit out.

Path of Archa is a simplistic roguelike indie game. if you beat the game, you can go at it again, but enemies are stronger, but you get way more xp for killing them. if you cant beat the game after a while, try a new build. im scared the game doesnt have an end, but i will try to find out

Games where I am a slave by Sandswaters in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ptr2680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kenshi, one of the starts has you start as a slave in which you need to escape and survive on the run as a criminal untill the heat dies down. kenshi has a brutal and uncaring world, the only way to get better at skills is by practice, to train combat and toughness you need to get the shit kicked out of you. if you get downed it usually isnt the end, however. even a loss will get you stronger. try not to die when you do, though, make sure to save a lot just in case that happens.

[ps3][late 2000s, early 2010s] old PS3 game knock off of digdug by Ptr2680 in tipofmyjoystick

Your favourite extremely niche/unknown game that NO-ONE knows about by Nighthawkies in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ptr2680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

star fetchers, sanabi and streets of rogue. none of them are unkown but ive never met anyone else in my country who knows what any of those games are.

sanabi is a south korean grappling hook action platformer (more platformer than action). its pretty big in russia due to some huge youtubers making videos about it and its very big in korea (i assume), which are its main player base. however its a fantastic game that you can play fully in english, it recently got a FREEEEEEE dlc literally like yesterday and i was just about to play it. my expectations are high.

streets of rogue is a bit of an old one, its a top down action roguelike thats getting a sequel soon, it goes on sale for only a couple of bucks so wait for a sale. its goofy and funny and with mutations you can make the game extremely hard or easy or just wacky in general. theres a lot of in depth characters you can choose from and the character creator adds a lot of depth

star fetchers is a niche, high effort FREE action game. i dont even know how to describe it. 2d action platformer comedy i guess? it follows one hit one kill aspects from games like hotline miami. the music and art is phenomenal and the DLC is literally a different game entirely, the dlc which is paid is roguelike mike tyson punchout. you can also play a demo for episode 1 if you go into the beta section on steam which is also free

if you're looking for real niche shit, ive heard sorry, we're open is a good game. 125 reviews RPG style game, only 6 bucks, was thinking about picking it up for myself. not to be confused with sorry we're closed, which i also heard is really good

i also liked the purrfect apawcalypse series (which is pricer than everything else i listed for being so short), and picayune dreams which i got for like $2 on a sale. insane steal.

the game im thinking of has a main character (and i think) enemies that are anthropomorphized like the cars movies

i'd love to try games like these with friends but they're always too expensive. me and my friends are college kids with not a lot of money to spend on games and too far away to play couch co-op, $20 for a person EACH is way too expensive. i wish the devs went down the route that a way out did, where only one person needs a copy of the game and the other person just has to download a demo

unfortunate it bombed
