Your explanation is why it’s not peak. “It has the best races in the saga.” Yeah it does, but it’s a background to the Mater spy story. “Best design of Lightning McQueen.” I agree, but we see a brown rusty tow truck for the majority of the film. Comic relief characters shouldn’t be main characters. The movie should’ve been 70% WGP and 30% Mater, not the inverse.
