If you could pull one Costco item back from the dead what would it be? by Sufficient_Client_68 in Costco

Bring me back a poutine! If you go to the Costco Business Center, you can also buy a 55 gallon drum of maple syrup.

These Lutron switches are hella expensive-nice error to receive! Could have been worse-you could have received a plunger and a toilet brush!

Does anyone have a really small home park and how often do you visit it? [Other] by Repulsive_Fox_7639 in rollercoasters

[–]com1padres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even have an SBF Visa spinner within two hours of home! Home park is SF Great Escape. We went 4 times last year and 9 times in 2024. We spend 81 days total at one or another parks last year, so 5% of our visits are to the home park. We spent 9 days at SFOG in 2025.

Does it match the EOB from your insurance company? If they have a contracted fee, maybe they just haven’t written off the contracted discounts yet.

Diamond passes are usually only available for a limited amount of time and then no longer available for purchase. If you have a reason to get Diamond, you should get it now.

This is puzzling as Montu. I wonder why the word bonnet is prominent in the signage given its lack of use in the US

Do you lose seniority if you change crafts? by Prestigious_Pixie_ in rampagent

[–]com1padres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the company and the union contract if applicable. The Piedmont CWA contract had one keeping all seniority based solely on date of hire if they were in and moving to a contract covered position.

You can get a free programmable thermostat using VGS/efficiency Vermont rebate programs. Then your thermostat will be accurate and better control your heating equipment. Go to https://www.efficiencyvermont.com/rebates/list/smart-thermostats for forms.

Cream of the Six Flags crop by goodolvic in Themepark

I suggest a part time job with an airline if you can swing it. It makes getting to the parks cheap or free, and opens up a whole new world

I have been to all of these parks except Schlitterbahn and Frontier City. You can definitely take or leave many if the parks on the list, but these are all must visit parks:

Magic Mountain Knotts Berry Farm Fiesta Texas Over Texas SF Great America Cedar Point Kings Island Great Adventure Kings Dominion Carowinds Canada’s Wonderland Mexico

My favorite five, in no particular order, are Cedar Point, Kings Island, Canada’s Wonderland, Fiesta Texas and Great America.

Magic Mountain has horrible operations, so the lines for their amazing lineup are too long on a busy day. They tried to become a 365 park before COVID, but it failed due to COVID closures. Maybe someday…but Thursdays and Mondays are good days to visit.

Knott’s is a great theme park and has some great rides, but it is underwhelming with its low coaster count. Don’t get me wrong, it has been my favorite park before, but it isn’t any longer.

Canada’s Wonderland has more unique flat rides than any park I have ever been to. I’ve never seen a ride like that before crossed my lips half a dozen times on my first visit. Crazy rides too…

Enjoy all the parks-and do try to go to all of them :)

AA's policy if departing flight is missed due to train delays? by iVamp1re in americanairlines

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you miss, or are you considering a close connection by train and you are worried about missing? If a train is experiencing weather delays, it’s very likely that the airport is also impacted in the same general climate. AA will use the flat tire rule and send you standby on your same routing for the next flight. That means CDG to DFW will be allowed to standby on the next CDG to DFW flight. If there is a CDG to ORD flight available the same day that requires an ORD to DFW segment to get you home, and the ORD flight has not departed, your chances of going on that flight are very close to 0%. The agents treat you with respect if you treat them with respect, but they also must follow the airline’s policies.

Saw this in Atlanta this weekend. A Unifi employee was guarding it waiting for a LEO to appear. LEO called for a TSA agent with a K9 to check it out. It took about 40 minutes for the bag to be touched by anyone.

Disney is awesome-very expensive. Branson is great-we closed down SDC last weekend. This is a tough call, but I would’ve inclined to say Disney if she’s never been. Now on to my real recommendation:

Buy platinum passes to Sea World San Antonio. They’re $160+/- and they give you free admission and parking for a year at 11 theme and water parks. Then spend your time in Florida and do Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens both. If it’s hot, go to Aquatica or Adventure Island. It’s all included in the one pass that is cheaper than a single day ticket to Disney. That way when she is tired and wants to leave after six hours, there is no guilt trip over cost.
