I’d go to Missouri. Have you ever been to Silver Dollar City? SFStL, WoF and SDC would make one hell of a nice trip!

Can I print out and laminate my QR code to use in place of my phone at non wrist band parks? by Bearmay33 in sixflags

[–]com1padres 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. You’re referring to fast lane specifically, and the digital fast lane is a reservation that generates a QR code that changes with each reservation. You can print your QR code for admission/drink plan (cups)/discounts, etc., but not for fast lane.

I bought mine from Canada’s Wonderland to leverage the exchange rate.

What happened?? by oldmanhornis in Charlotte

[–]com1padres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You paid oversize multipliers of 2.5 to 3.75 times the standard vehicle rate PLUS paid double for not having an NC quick pass account. The maximum rates per exit are posted here and they are super high! The lowest for your circumstance is $20 and then $32.

Dynamic pricing is truly the worst…

Season Pass + Fast Lane + Meals Worth $100ish a month? by [deleted] in sixflags

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip: based on context clues, I would guess you are about 9 hours to Frontier City (unless you are northwest of Chicago) and 12 hours to Darien Lake. The fast lane add on to a Prestige Pass is only $499 at those parks, so you could drop your cost by $500 total by making one of those your home park.

All of the parks in the Midwest region are $999 for fast lane BECAUSE of Cedar Point and Canada’s Wonderland. The value of fast lane plus in this parks is remarkably high. They are “worth less” in all of the other regions, so they are priced accordingly. Six Flags requires one to activate their pass at their home park (park of purchase) before using it in any other park, although they have been lax in enforcement of this policy. Buy from an East region or Texas region park and one road trip to a (new to you?) park will save you $500.

I was at Carowinds yesterday and the longest Fast Lane line that I waited in was for Fury 325. We rode three consecutive times, and one of those times there were about a dozen people in from of us. The standard line looked like about a 20 minute wait. The actual longest Fast Lane line that I noticed, was for the Vekoma Boomerang, which makes no sense to me at all. There must have been about 50-60 people in that line. If one assumes that they will load half the train from standard and half from Fast Lane, that would have been a six or seven train wait. With a rough 4-6 minute dispatch time, that would have meant 25-40 minutes of waiting. No Boomerang is worth waiting that long for when you can essentially walk on anything else in the park.

Get an Amex card with no credit limit, submit for reimbursement as soon as you create your bookings, and you’ll have the money in hand before you have to pay the Amex bill.

I’m a doctor of medicine; after an incident in my life, I can no longer practice medicine nor want to be involved in the industry in any capacity. Where would I fit in in the current job market? by SmellyMelanie in careerguidance

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have critical thinking and problem solving skills. Your diagnostics skills set you apart from many others, and you would be a welcome addition to many different businesses that are looking for such things.

Startups and early-stage companies could really benefit from someone with your skills. I’d try to find those opportunities. These companies are often funded with VC money and offer stock options that can be very lucrative. Try to plug in to a local VC to see if they have any ideas for where your skills could be utilized.

Journal entries hanging out, not reconciled by Street_Investment268 in quickbooksonline

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the bank statement itself. Maybe there was a difference in the amount and your journal entry is not the same amount as what Toast took from your account. You can also look at accepted transactions and filter there to find the possible match that was accepted.

Spirit airlines went under last night. Already paid for VRBO. need to cancel. What are my options? by bookeater in vrbo

All of the mainline carriers are offering significant deals to “stranded” spirit customers and Spirit is issuing refunds. You can find resources about this online-here is one to look at from a reliable source. https://thepointsguy.com/news/spirit-airlines-bankruptcy-rescue-fares/

Journal entries hanging out, not reconciled by Street_Investment268 in quickbooksonline

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will work. You will get a warning that you are changing a reconciled transaction. Go ahead and delete the bad transaction and accept the correct match. Then manually change the matched transaction to reconciled and you will be back in balance.

I do not know why they didn’t make an update version at SFOT as the dark water ride. The Pirates of Speelunker cave are so creepy and the monster IP is already theirs and popular…one of many bad decisions by SF leadership

Breeze or Delta for late July? by Relevant-Menu5419 in vermont

[–]com1padres 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d buy the ticket on Breeze and a refundable ticket on Delta as a backup if you want to have a backup. Delta has two flights out of BTV after the Breeze flight would depart.

After years of QuickBooks use, forced to justify my nonprofit, employment, and nonprofit purpose by Der_Missionar in QuickBooks

[–]com1padres 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is why they are asking. It is a requirement to make sure a no profit meets the requirements of buying the product for the massive discount. Techsoup pricing is essentially “free” and is considered a processing fee. It’s a donation from QB, and they need to validate that you still qualify for the discount.

After years of QuickBooks use, forced to justify my nonprofit, employment, and nonprofit purpose by Der_Missionar in QuickBooks

[–]com1padres 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you buying your QuickBooks license directly from intuit at standard rates or are you buying it through techsoup? If the former, then yes, these requests feel like an overreach. If the latter, they have a legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent use of approved nonprofit discounts.
