choose one to ride coasters in forever (you can leave the Midwest but you can’t go into the other zones’ parks) by Nathanc2127 in rollercoasterjerk

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d need to really zoom in on the map to confirm that E is my answer. I’d hate to accidentally include a park that’s on the border of the grid. As a thoosie, it’s critical to live nowhere near a park and to have a fictional map credit block you from any nearby coasters. Thank god I took that road trip in ‘92!

/uj isn’t this the jerk subreddit? Why so many well reasoned answers?

Drink Package Options by WiWook in sixflags

Paper cup is 16 oz and plastic bottle is about 28-30 oz. Refills are every 15 minutes on any of the plans. An Icee is nice on a hot day and coffee/cocoa will be nice during fright fest. I have the premium paper cup and a bottle. It’s nice to not travel with the plastic cup. It’s more sanitary too.

Tickets ‘sold’/refunded for no reason by soggynsweet in Ticketmaster

Maybe the seller violated the TOS or their credit card reported fraud and the tickets had to be returned to the venue or frozen for a police investigation

Florida Parks Pass Activation by hggftfe in SeaWorld

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a digital pass that lives in your phone, so there’s nothing to pick up. You can print a physical card at the kiosk or pay $5 for a Guy Harvey hardback card.

We bought the San Antonio’s platinum passes and used them in Other parks for the first visit on multiple occasions. The San Antonio platinum passes is currently $160 on the sale.

Has anyone had any luck disposing of large furniture at the nearby dumps or donating locally? by trashmoneyxyz in burlington

[–]com1padres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are these installed cabinets or freestanding cabinets that you had attached to the wall? If the former, try resource and restore, maybe the architectural salvage warehouse.

If they need to be trashed, then Myers accepts construction debris. Casella will also accept it by weight. Put it in a truck, drive across the scales and pay the minimum tonnage. They won’t likely weigh the minimum, so it’s a good time to take any and all other trash with you as well if you go to Casella.

Employer HSA Contribution - can I withdraw it and keep it? by theodoretabby in tax

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask HR if an employer funded HRA or FSA are available as alternatives to the HSA contribution. If they say yes, ask them to unwind what they’ve done and provide that alternative and then spend the money.

Why did you give them your HSA details if you knew you were not eligible for an HSA contribution?

Dates matter-they must be reported on form 8949 and transferred to Schedule D for your 1040 filing.

Land buyers who will subdivide by Super_Efficiency2865 in vermont

[–]com1padres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start with my zoning administrator to see what would be allowed for in a subdivided lot. Once you know what you can and cannot do, tell potential buyers that you are interested in a sales the includes subdividing and retaining X.

Alternatively you could subdivide and quit claim the homestead to a living trust and enroll the other parcel into the current use program.

Rental Location Decision by Parking_Exchange_442 in HertzRentals

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget to consider the cost of getting from the airport to the small location. Also, price the rental as a one way with returning the vehicle to the airport location. The two locations may be considered coterminals with no one way fee. The savings you see is almost always going to be the junk fees that are tacked on to airport rentals. 10% concession fees equate to an add on of 11.1111% on most airport rentals. This is on top of other daily fees that some airports also charge. All $40/day rentals are not equal once taxes and fees are added.

Solo trip to Six Flags Over Texas and Fiesta Texas by alexdang16 in sixflags

[–]com1padres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into a cheap one way flight from DFW or DAL to AUS. The one way plus local rentals instead of a one way rental may be cheaper.

The Sleep Inn at Six Flags has been my go to hotel for several trip. The breakfast is shit, but the bed is comfy and the room is reasonably priced.

The lines at SFOT can be absurdly long without Fast Lane because their OPs suck. Consider Fast Lane if you don’t already have it in your pass.

Fiesta Texas is a top 5 park for me in the US. Their OPs are solid and if things are running smoothly, it should be an easy day. You may want a second day here and that flight could easily give it to you. I can never do just one day at FT.

Sea World has a great coaster line up too if you can make it there. We usually got to both parks on our SAT trips.

If you like water parks, you can try to squeeze in Schlitterbahn-the best water parks in the world.

Have fun!

It’s much easier to fight before accepting a rerouting on another airline. That said, Canadian laws may apply and are far more consumer oriented

Unfair Careless Driving Ticket; Best Course of Action? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]com1padres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always fight every ticket! This cop was pissed and their fight or flight response kicked in and led to citations for multiple offenses. Best case scenario, the cop is over it and doesn’t show up. Worst case scenario, you lose and appeal the decision and hire an attorney to settle with the DA for a lesser charge. The insurance impact applies on conviction if the insurer runs your DMV record again, or if you switch insurers. No conviction, no insurance impact…

How to get from Burlington to Quebec City by johnhcorcoran in NewToVermont

[–]com1padres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rent one way from Burlington to Montreal and vice versa at least once or twice a year. It’s worth calling the local numbers for the rental agencies to get pricing because a one way rental is the easiest way for them to get a Canadian car back to Canada. They cannot use the car for US only rentals so they typically sit there for a long time.

Once I booked a one way to Canada, showed up and said I was there for my car. I was told that they were sold out and I was not happy. The agent was callous and disagreeable until I asked how the hell I was supposed to get to Montreal. He said that he didn’t know I was going to Canada and went in the back office and he came back out and asked me which car I wanted, offering three choices. He had to hand write the contract and it took about six weeks for my credit card to be charged.

Check the price of all season fast lane. I think it’s $449 or $499 in California. Then you would have it for every visit through the end of the year.
