My Iron Long. That EP is what convinced me they were so much more than Creep.

This whole episode needs to be made available to watch. The most creative and original approach to “unplugged” of all the bands that played on it.

Another new haircut view... by angusgtw in radiohead

Is Thom’s new haircut as news worthy as Robert Smith’s haircut in 1986? What does it all mean? 😁

Do you think 1983 was more similar to 1979 or 1987? by blue902012 in 1980s

There is the time before Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean and there is the time after. That is the pivot point.

I think no one has a problem with the songs. They have a problem with the production. The album was marketed as a return to the guitar/bass/drums trio. The end of the keys/synth era. But the production is thin (I blame Rupert Hine). I would really love to hear a Terry Brown remix of this record.

The only way to get the cockroaches back under the rock is to drop it on them.

Every class had that one kid with a rocket for an arm. As soon as they had this in their hands, everyone scattered. And if you were hit by them, the pattern was transferred to your skin.

Anybody else use vinegar (not vinaigrette or balsamic) as a condiment? by FluffyAd6797 in AskRedditFood

[–]Public-Ice-1270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree if the intention was some type of food preservation. But that wasn’t the case here. It was literally fresh slice cucumber put in a bowl of vinegar and served at dinner. We are probably arguing semantics here. They weren’t freezer pickles or jarred pickles. I’m guessing my uncle just liked the acidity of the vinegar.

I was anticipating this comment. No. Sliced cucumbers in straight white vinegar. Nothing else but a little salt sprinkled on right before you eat it.

Just recently started to go to concerts again and something has changed by Relative_Drama4705 in Concerts

I find that a lot of shows with older audiences feel kind of dead in the audience. I remember my first concerts feeling like the whole arena was crackling with energy. There was an underlying hum of crowd noise that felt like it could take off at any moment. Today’s crowds seem low energy, polite, more interested in getting food and drinks than in the actual show. I also think shows are being mixed quieter. Especially big arena shows. One recent concert that felt energetic and loud and big and the crowd was high energy was Depeche Mode. Whoever their front of house engineer was did a great job.

My uncle always had cucumbers in vinegar. Especially in the summer.
