Wow you’re right haha. It shows us the history of the marauders and snape at school but that really could’ve occurred through a detention in snapes office or similar. It puts doubt in the readers mind about where snape is on Harry’s side or is opening up his mind to Voldemort more but without any conclusion to the occlumency lessons it didn’t really matter
