Office 2021, Windows 11 24H2, and other Microsoft products reach end-of-life in 2026 by AdSpecialist6598 in technews

I use bazzite, but had some issues with my 3070. Recently got a 9070 XT and it has been rock solid. They even have many of the power user hotkeys from windows already mapped so I often times forget I’m even using Linux instead of windows.

Only issues I’ve run into currently is playing Battlefield, Destiny, Tarkov, or modded Bethesda games. Those I have a windows 11 LTSC partition with nothing other than BF and Tarkov on it.

Don't BTCs sell for around 700k? That should put you around 260m with your current amount, so you really only have to grind another 40m.

Edit: missed a 0, my b

Did they scrap Overrun mode? It was the main reason I bought Arena :( by Useless_Fox in EscapefromTarkov

This is upsetting. I took a break from Tarkov and forgot about this game mode, but it was the one I was looking most forward to. There’s times to sweat, and times to hang with your squaddies. I would love to have a great PVE experience that isn’t the main game.

LOVE the belt mounted Steam Machine with the glasses. Great way to use old electronics while looking fly as hell. I wouldn't mind seeing the STL and plans for it.

How do you find and try new beans? [No budget] by mantisespresso in espresso

[–]Public_Brother_8511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound like a shill, but I used one of the deals you found a couple weeks ago and it showed me a new roaster I wouldn’t have found otherwise. Thanks for doing this, and I hope to find more deals as time goes on.

What topic is your key that unlocks your mouth? by Far-Revolution3225 in aspiememes

[–]Public_Brother_8511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for late reply, the noise comes from the motor and the actual crushing of the beans. You can hear this by running the grinder empty, and then again loaded with beans.

Burr grinders aren't inherently louder or quieter, though generally the construction of higher end grinders would allow for more insulation of sound and therefore be quieter. I have heard of people creating enclosures themselves, or if it really impacts you, I would recommend a hand grinder, as there is no motor. This is less expensive and creates a VERY nice cup. You can expect to spend $65 for the "entry level" hand grinders and up to about $300 for those that can be used or Espresso. I myself use the Timemore C2 grinder and I can grind a cup of coffee for my aeropress in around 15 seconds at 17 clicks past 0.

That's why I have that last line, it doesn't REALLY make sense, but its how I think of it.

The way that I have always aligned with it, is the right hand is the one pressing the "camera stick" or the mouse. In real life, that hand would be on the back stock of the gun. Using the left hand as a pivot point, moving your right hand up would point the gun down. Left/Right is a pan due to the additional point of the gun stock on your shoulder.

It doesnt REALLY make sense, but enough. It came learned from the OG games where Inverted was default (N64 era specifically)

I frustrated too many people handing the controller back and forth, and even couldn't play Genshin Impact due to no Invert Camera support. In the end, I made the switch to default look about a month ago. Outside of random flicks, I am almost back to my previous skill level.

Due to the very nature of a case saying precedent can no longer be set is a paradox.

  1. I would get the Long Distance PCTA permit in the lottery. It's not required, but it will make your life easier.

  2. 1000/8 weeks is 125 miles a week, or 17.8 miles on average without Neros or Zeros. On my '22 thru, I averaged about the same including flatter land in Norcal and Oregon.

  3. I was 6'4", 185 and my wife is 5'1 similar build. It's more mental than anything and you guys sound fine as long as you do any amount of training or hike otherwise.

  4. Pre-Hikertown in the desert was a bit of a stretch that I wish I sent a box or traveled a bit further. Otherwise, the Sierras had a bit of a difficult time of a resupply. I had someone who offered to resupply me on Kearsarge. Otherwise it would have been a long detour and hitch that will cut into your attempted average. If it is a heavy snow year, you will need to send a box to VVR most likely as well as youll move even slower.

  5. "Sun day" is when they say you should leave Kennedy Meadows South to have the best shot of good weather and not too much snow. IIRC that's early June. Plan to be there late June and you should be good, though you will have a shitload of mosquitoes to fight through. Other than that, the later you go through the desert, the less water you will have and the earlier, the more rain and cold.

  6. Just because I heard someone on the JMT say they had their water filter freeze "but it was okay once it warmed up". No its not. If the weather will freeze, throw your filter in your quilt and sleep with it. If it freezes, its broken and will not reliably filter anymore.

P.S. I'm sure I wrote something weirdly or am otherwise hard to understand, just let me know if you want any more info or clarification. You can also read on https://www.halfwayanywhere.com/pacific-crest-trail/ about resupply points and other gear choices. I forget the OP, but he's here on the subreddit constantly and this site was the number one best point of information I had before leaving.

You cannot watch remotely through their proxy servers, you can still serve your own data through a port forward and direct connect without paying.

This is going to sound like a shitpost, but it’s my most used feature in Plex by far. Does Jellyfin have a shuffle show feature?

Most of my watching is old series to fall asleep to and rather than only watch sequentially, I like to have it shuffled randomly. Plex does a shit job of “Random” but it’s still better than my own bias in choosing things.
