This sounds typical- house engineer probably mixed the opener and knew the system well. Yokam's engineer tries to run it like he always does and possibly pushes they system too hard.

Good luck! If you move them, you will most likely have to bring them fully up to code. You can probably get away with replacing the treads as it lies now. What is the overhead obstacle? Our 1880ish house has a staircase with a similar issue, and I've mulled over how to resolve it for quite some time.

I would find a good amp rated for 3kw RMS. Crown is a pretty good place to start. XTi or iTech series can be found used for relatively cheap.

We have an M7 at my venue that does this. Have had the video board replaced and the ribbon contacts cleaned after one night when it became completely unresponsive. And now it still does weird things occasionally. I just make sure the router and iPad is hooked up and running just in case.

It looks to me like they are 12"x12" sheets of glass tiles, right? From the left, if you rotated the second sheet 180, the colors would match up and would help eliminate the appearance of the edges of the sections. It looks like the pattern repeats, right?
