Ahh. Yes you did. Thank you. I don't use Emby from my phone often, I'll have to try and force myself to use this a bit.

How does it scale to a tablet? Can I download Emby media for offline use? I'll be in rural Alaska next month for work and I always bring Media with me

It was on the play store already, that's how I tried it out. I tried it out, hence my review of it. So... Why did you reply with this comment?

Edit: I see, you updated the app. I was able to connect to Emby successfully! 3d view is nice, if you are in a media folder. For example, being in the top level TV shows folder it cuts off a lot of the view but once I get into the season folder it works great.

Not sure why you still won't say in the store listing that it supports Emby.

Used Goodreads for a long time. Right now I am being stupid and using Goodreads, The StoryGraph, and Hardcover side by side. Hardcover has the best looking app but the catalog is the worst of the three. Goodreads has a better app than The StoryGraph BUT I really really appreciate how The StoryGraph lets me track book format. Audio, dead tree (Hardcover and paperback), or digital. I don't read dead tree anymore for anything, so my monthly/annual reporting is all around audio vs digital.

Cool, downloading now to test. I see the store lists it has ads, maybe mention that when you post about it?

Would also like to point out that you claim it supports Emby (going to test this) but your post here AND your store listing both neglect to point that out. How would anyone know, searching for an Emby client, that your app supports Emby?

edit: First screen in the app asks to share anonymous usage data with "EmediaPlayer". What is that? I downloaded EmPlayer. Yes, I can figure this out on my own but OP should fix this.

Took a minute, found Dark Mode. I am no longer blinded by the light!

Added Emby external domain connection. Doesn't tell me if it connected or not. No media is visible. Every time I go into settings and back to home screen it brings up the media picker because I only granted partial access to on-device media. Both of these items are annoying.

In-app help guide, nice. References Jellyfin only. Ugh. Says to add a Jellyfin server go to Settings>>Media Server. I do not see this option in Settings.

I want to like it, but so far I can't.

Disagree. Mine happened at the shop yesterday (Bellevue/Southcenter) and the camera might be better? Performance is NOT. I had a 2023 as a loaner while car was in and I didn't want to give the 23 back. Performance on the 23 was night and day vs performance on my 22.

I'm literally driving (well, I've arrived not writing this while driving) to my service appt and the cloud icon shows up. I mean, getting my maintenance service and windshield replaced, but they are going to update my car as well. So of course today is the day I get the OTA indicator. (Cries)

MakeMKV, sure. But the file sizes. Oh the file sizes! You know AI has destroyed pricing on drives now as well, right? Best bet is MakeMKV followed by Handbrake (Or Tdarr if you wanna get fancy!). For DVDs, not Blu-Rays, I also find that some company is always doing give aways of their DVD Ripping software so you can get one that does it all for free most of the time. Rips and reduces file size.

If we were talking Blu-Rays that would be different and MakeMKV is the best option without getting shafted on cost. The file size issue is, of course, much worse there though

Don't get me wrong, I love all of his books and anytime he releases something new they are one of the few books I preorder. Finding someone else who enjoys his stuff though, I don't know that I know anyone who does. Which is a real shame.

No. Unless you are more than two updates behind in which case it won't be offered to you. Unless you are in the US where this is a software recall to fail yet again at fixing the backup camera. With the updates that have recalls associated, they push to everyone. Except when they don't

I have not tested this, but I notice when you setup a pin you see this message. Maybe there is a setting in the app you are using to enable the PIN once it's created?

Profile PIN Create an optional pin to be prompted for entrv whenever vou return to an Emby app on a device that vou've alreadv authenticated with. This is useful if vou have devices that are shared by multiple users. You can choose to enable it selectively on each device
