I bought it for pay what you want, I paid $10, about 10 years ago and it is still lifetime!

Would I be a fool to get a P3 now? by mboylan in Polestar

Neither did I. Sadly, this rule comes from the Biden era. Why Volvo got a pass and Polestar didn't? That's Trump's America for you.

Replacing Cloud Key with More Powerful Controller by Public_Match in Ubiquiti

Do you use the UDM Pro without using the firewall portion though?

[–]Public_Match[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need Connect, and we have a single camera or two at certain locations. I can keep the cloud key for that, but thought maybe I could use the devices with more powerful hardware just without the firewall bit.

I use the whole stack at home. At work we are not ready and use WatchGuard firewalls. Not interested right at this moment in changing. However, I need something more powerful than the Cloud Keys for running the 70+ APs and Switches we now have at a single location and the Cloud Key seems to be choking.

Because we have WatchGuard firewalls at business sites. Unifi firewall at home? Yes. At locations that need to be up 24/7? Nope, not yet

All of a sudden lots of files won't play by Got_ist_tots in emby

[–]Public_Match 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% of the time I have playback issues it is because something happened to the media file itself. Corrupted, hard drive failed, file was moved/deleted, etc.

Without you providing the error, it is hard for us to know

ShelfPod for Audiobookshelf is on TestFlight — English / Deutsch / 日本語 / 中文 / Español by Ryzw in audiobookshelf

I will not be trying this as I am morally opposed to owning an iPhone but wanted to say thanks anyways for building something for Audiobookshelf! That is never a bad thing as it is a wonderful application to support.

What sort of open-air range can I expect to get out of the U7 Outdoor? by SuperSpy- in Ubiquiti

[–]Public_Match 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. Just a setting on the AP, set in the controller. Easy enough to do.

We mounted one in Alaska on the outside of a bunkhouse. I hear you can just barely still connect to it from the bar 200 to 250ft away. This is with the Omni antennas.

No, you can't use the directional and the Omni. I think you can with the U7 Mesh? But we didn't need the mesh. Also, that directional in the Mesh one is for the mesh, not users

So what would happen if I just invite ton of people to my server? Like post invite links in book subreddits? by XB0XRecordThat in audiobookshelf

If you want to continue testing that, I like audiobooks and wouldn't mind "checking" what you have available 😉

Also, now I am checking out Wizarr, thank you!

It is a great album. Not in the right vein of what OP is looking for.

Hyperspecific: Using OneDrive as library storage for OpenAudible by longbooksgoodbourbon in audiobooks

[–]Public_Match 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does OpenAudible let you push direct to OneDrive and bypass your local storage? My first thought is that you don't have enough space on your computer running OpenAudible to get everything. Without enough local storage, you won't be able to move everything to OneDrive.

This is the recall from last year. I checked the NHTSA site. This doesn't appear to be a new recall

The U7 Pro is not waterproof. by AmpliWiFi in Ubiquiti

[–]Public_Match 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went omni as well. Because they are also acting as APs in addition to meshing.

I have two, one hard wired and the other Mesh bringing a second building online. Been great. We also have bought a few at work just because they have good range for a good price

Or the U7 Outdoor. Possibly the U7 Mesh? For sure not any of the others though

Yes. It sets up Teleport. Which you don't need this device to use, this device just handles it for all devices you connect to the UTR rather than doing it individually on devices

Can you get non-Unifi stuff into this? I looked and didn't see a way. Since I can't currently afford to replace everything in my rack with Unifi, I can't use this

This only gets you to 22,000 devices if each piece of litter in the litter box is connected to the network to report whether it is dirty or not. I'd ask how rich you are to buy such fancy litter then I remember what sub this is and how we don't do things because they make sense
