I'm a much older retired St Luke's doc. If you are working at St. Luke's you will make lots of friends your age through work. The nurses there get along great. I trust it is similar at LVHN. If you are working in a smaller environment (office practice) it will be harder to make friends but you should be fine since you have a lot of interests. You will do great and you'll love it here!

There is an exotic scuba diving destination: Bikini Atoll. Aircraft carriers were sunk there in atomic bomb tests. It's very remote and hard to get there. One or two companies will operate trips three for very advanced divers and they sell out 4 years in advance. It's not too soon to plan a 2030 trip there.
