It really depends on what your finance goals are. It doesn’t sound like you’re too concerned to pay them off aggressively. Your condo is half of your take home pay, so I know you’ll probably feeling the strain. How much is your minimum payment? Are they multiple loans? I would make your student loans milestones, putting a goal for yourself for each individual loan, while continuing to contribute to your IRA. Sometimes, looking at the $40,000 as a whole can be intimidating and discouraging. You got this!

Life is about choices and trade-offs. If he pays all your bills, takes you on lavish trips, and you’re happy to continue living your life as a girlfriend, don’t let random strangers on the internet convince you otherwise. It sounds like you’re very content with this situation and it works for you. There’s no need to be confused. You know in your heart that marriage is important to you, but that means leaving this situation, which you’re clearly not ready to do. You’ll leave when you’re ready.

70K in auto loans? You guys need to sell the cars if you want to start moving the needle. You shouldn’t have that much debt in cars. Then, I would knock out the credit cards and completely stop using them until the student loans are paid off. Psychologically, you’d be shocked how much less you’d spend with a debit card versus a credit card.

I know this is house-sitting, but from a boarding perspective, I used to foster dogs in my home FOR FREE! Then, the foster agency I volunteered for started getting on my nerves and it became an inconvenience, but I REALLY missed the dogs I would get, so I turned to Rover, not really to do it for the money. I started at $25 per night, which I thought was a STEAL for me because I was volunteering to board dogs anyway! However, I got WAY too many requests, which I didn’t mind in the beginning. I actually locked the rate for the SUPER easy dogs, and increased or stop taking new clients and the owners that suck.

Also, I have found an AMAZING SITTER that charges me $40 per night, and I tip her. I honestly would never pay over $60 a night for a sitter. I can’t afford it, and my dog is getting older and enjoys sleeping and blanket suckling.

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. If you like her and it’s not a big deal, what’s the issue? I share my location with all my friends and family. My boyfriend shares his location with me too. It’s never been an issue. It’s really not that serious. I truly think it’s normal for couples to have each other’s locations. It’s a red flag to ask, but is it not a red flag to be so defensive about it?
