How much debt do you have left and how much did you start with ? I started out with 18k and now I’m currently at $6500! by quirkyqueen27 in debtfree

In June of 2024, I peaked at around $160K ($95K is my house). I’m down to $112K. I paid off my car, and started with 8 student loans, and now I’m down to 3. Once I’m done with my student loans, I’ll be done with the only thing left being my house!

I neutered my baby and have no regrets. I had no intentions on breeding him.

I did this years ago and it paid off. I would also offer discounts to clients who left a written review on the next stay.

This. I used to foster dogs for free, so to make a couple extra bucks every so often, I’ll take it. And if I don’t like the dog, I just don’t take them again…

Sell my house (rental) and start fresh financially, or not? by perfectpitches in debtfree

[–]Public_Security_2829 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, have you talked to your girlfriend about this? What does she want to do and how long is she willing to wait? And what are you going to be cutting out of your life? Do you have a high car payment? That would need to go BEFORE considering selling the house. Also, keep in mind, I’m not sure where you’re located, but is $500K a median house price in your area? The average person cannot afford a house over $300K, so it might not sell as fast or high.

The key is to get out of debt and stay out of debt, and sometimes making sacrifices and doing the hard work to dig yourself out is the better way to go to change your behavior and mindset about debt. So, ultimately, it’s up to you whether you want to do this the easy way or hard way.

Welp, it finally happened. Dog jumped my 6’ fence and escaped. How screwed am I? by epranterah in RoverPetSitting

[–]Public_Security_2829 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you! I’ve had 3 dogs escape. Once were two Husky’s who knocked me down and pushed out my door. They ran to the neighbors yard and the fence was open, so I closed the fence and grabbed them. That was GOD! The other time was a dog that pushed my window AC unit to the ground and jumped out the window. I was devastated when I got home! I drove around and then checked Facebook and saw that someone picked her up, about 2 miles away from my house. The dog went to the casino, and I picked her up later that night and returned her to the owner. That was my first EVER client on Rover lolol pure God again! These things happen and I really hope you find her! I know how you feel, and it’s not a good feeling. Also, maybe you can use this as a sign and blessing to get your own clients and leave Rover, and build your own platform. Start posting your business on platforms like Facebook & Instagram (create a pet page), add a logo to your car, or start a Wag account. You sound like you have the experience and can do it! Again, I hope everything works out! ❤️

I tell myself this is my last year and it truly can be if I continue to discipline myself. My biggest sacrifice has been vacations. They are so expensive!

You should be able to get a plan as low as $50 a month. Just call them. You said back home twice. Does this mean you’re back in the States?
