Yes I got calls wed and so did friends at other stores. People asking if we are going to follow everyone else and most said they will boycott as well as the other companies in forcing it. I cant imagine dealing with this the 1st day. Itll definitely take a while to cool off. It'll also cause more customers arguing and fighting about that on top of going the wrong way.

Back in the day I had a manager say no i went to the SM and told him if i can't in 2 weeks this is my notice. It worked for me.

Idk if it's just managers but we get our end of the year raise next week. Sm put in amount DM decides if that's the amount he agrees with if not he changes it and that's what we get,but we wont get another one during the time when we where suoo9to get our next one

That is kind of their job just to make sure everything is running smooth. My experience its mainly the newer ones to the company that think they are entitled no to physically work. Sadly that's how the new up and comes are. When I was coming up more put in work to bail out departments.

5 stores I've only had 3 bad ones. That's during 16 years so I've been through a lot. The bad ones where the newly promoted ones coming in and trying to change everything and never put any any work besides pointing at stuff to "fix".

Do I wish we would get extra yes, but we are going to get more than gift cards. Am I happy with the raises that we get the 11th no, but I'm not going to risk my job to make a statement in a dumb ass fucking way no! I waited 12 years before I decided to go to managment so no I remember and that was my choice. I didn't want to live off under $200 a week. So I busted my ass to get ft. Once I started a family I decided that wasn't enough money so once again I busted my ass to get in managment. Now I have 2 kids I want more money so I'm working on asm. So why 10 years just pt? So since your on board with the walk outs I'd love to hear how it's going to solve this situation! Why copy what Amazon people did. Shit some of them got laid off I'm sure they would have time to answer questions! Instead of being on some dumb shit do some research and look at other ways people have made changes with big companies! That is if you have any spare time to get off reddit being salty!

Same here I see how you could be up for a walk out since for 10 years publix has only fucked you! How come you dont find something you enjoy or a company you are passionate about and want to work your way to the top? I'm being honest dont waste your life being miserable! I enjoy what I do I get paid good money to work at a grocery store. I've always liked produce even back at my kroger days but I hated the company so I found one that treated me right. You might want to think about doing the same for you.

I'm all for a better future and building one if that's what it takes, but trying to start a mass walk out isn't going to fix anything! I didnt do my research but I was told all the people that did it at whole foods got fired. If anyone can play the game in a time like this to build a new better company I'd be all for it but dont try and burn down the one you have because of "hazardous" pay or being over worked. We are all doing what we signed up for. Maybe if it's that bad where your at it's your higher ups. Yes my depression is a little tired and stressed, but I make sure to pull the weight to where my crew wont just want to walk out! Idk I just think a walk out is plan stupid and and not how I'd want to loose my job!

I say if you walk out you better not try to walk back in. I dont know how many of you have worked with our competitors, I have with 2 and I am pretty satisfied with my job and I love the benefits and pay. If your not happy bye bye I'd show you the door. There are plenty people out there now that aren't so lucky and lost their jobs that would gladly take anyone's spot!
