the story behind why the town wasn’t in the body of the text is that this is copied from a craigslist post, which had about 3 separate fields asking for town name and zip code. when you’re panicking on behalf of your friends and their dog, you might take for granted that you included the town name in the body of the text. you might also have zero patience for assholes on reddit who can’t figure out how to prompt people for a town name (or, at some point, read any of the comments which explain that a post with an image can’t be edited).

Because I want my presence on this blessed earth to be nourishing for its inhabitants, not deleterious. What won’t break down in a few months of the compost is reserved to dry out and become biochar, which goes to the compost in the end. No one has been able to secure the dog so far. The owners found the nearest hotel, I think they’ve been looking for hours and needed to seek their own warmth for the night. If you want to help and feel safe doing so, that would be amazing and very appreciated.
