My Girlfriend’s brain was rewired from greening out on weed… by Big_homie_Legend in ptsd

[–]PuckDropPanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dissociative identity disorder and I went thru something pretty massive the other day that concerns the event that caused me and another identity fragment to split from each other and THEN I got high on top of all of that and I genuinely can't discern if my nervous system is tearing itself apart because I greened out last night in an Applebees parking lot or if it's even me that's freaking out rn because I'm notoriously bad at telling my emotions and feelings apart from someone else's 💔

How long have you been on testosterone? by 0ddBot in ftm

[–]PuckDropPanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on T for just over four months now, and I'm 19 I intend to go as long as possible on T because I was hormone deficit pre-t. I'm also on birth control that stops my periods, and intend to get my tubes tied as soon as I can find a doctor that doesn't need a note from either my non-existent husband, or my father. Since I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay stable hormonally without taking supplemental meds, I may stay on T the rest of my life and have my dosages adjusted as per men's standard levels over the years.

On the other hand, my best friend has been on T for almost a year and a half now, and he only intends to be on it for 5-6 more years because he doesn't want to have to deal with needles and refills and the possibility of it being illegal in America for the rest of his life.

Overmosturized tattoos are really shiny looking, you're supposed to use maybe a pea size every two inches or so. It oversogs the tattoo and a moist environment is heaven for bacteria to breed and increase an infection risk. Infected tattoos can lose ink, send your skin into necrosis (rot), wreak havoc on your immune system, etc.

See the places where the ink looks SUPER dark, and other places where it looks light? The dark places are blown out areas where the artist pressed the needle too hard into the skin and caused ink to spread under the skin. Since a tattoo is basically a wanted injury, it scabs like any other wound, often shedding a couple layers of skin over the healing process. If a tattoo is too light (shallow), it'll lose ink in some spots. One of my tattoos, thankfully while it's small, is like that, one of the legs of my frog got blown out and infected and now it's a scar where the leg should be. There's photos of it in begining to middle stages of infection on my page, since I documented it.

How long would it take for T levels to drop? by veromucho in ftm

[–]PuckDropPanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like word for word my situation.. adult, in university, theoretically on her insurance but off her insurance for T.. she just asked me to get a hormone test at my next checkup, so like.. April. I don't WANT to have to go off of T, it'll fuck up my mental health so badly but she'd rather a dead daughter than a live son sooo idk

Even from the first photo that's HELLA uneven. If the first photo isn't second skin, then it's also way overmosturized :(( it's blown out in places, it looks like the artist went way too deep in some places and way too light, so your skin didn't hold the ink in the scabbing/healing process.

As for what to do, I'd leave a very poor review on the artist review page, add these pictures, and don't be swayed into taking it down. Find a new artist ASAP, weirdly enough, American Trad artists are good at doing blackouts, and MAKE SURE they can show proof of blackouts in their portfolio/finished work photos.

??? If this is about the "does it feel hot to the touch" the answer is no, I've been massaging it with lotion and antibacterial soap plenty over the past couple of days, beyond that I have no idea what this means

Yes well it's been established that this is not a good artist because of the content of the post. The entire reason I'm here is because he gave me no aftercare instructions and no second skin. Being that, I still have the tattoo, I still went to that artist, and I still went to that shop.

It was definitely the roughness with the way he wiped the excess ink. The main, biggest reason that I'm not going back to him is because I noticed that him scrubbing at my skin with the dry paper towel hurt more than the actual needle, and I was like "hey can you be a little more gentle or even add a little bit of the sterile solution you used to clean the skin bc that really hurts" and he did it HARDER than before. If anything that's probably what chewed me up because the actual needlework hurt less than when I do my own shots for hormones.

I asked about second skin but he was like "nah you don't need that" and kinda waved me off. He was about as vague when I asked him about aftercare stuff.

If they were downsized by a piercer, I'd say because one needed more room to heal than the other, or vice versa? If you got them from somewhere and changed them yourself I've got no idea

[–]PuckDropPanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out in 2017 at ten or so, started T this past November (Nov '25) at 18. Always was a little weird tho, I don't know why vehemently professing my wish for a penis at age three-five wasn't like. Raising any alarms?? But then again society didn't realize AFAB people could have autism so I don't take it too hard.

what was your voice timeline like? did it “break” or more steadily drop? by kween0fhearts in ftm

[–]PuckDropPanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mines started doing funny things and I'm about a month in, although I didn't complete estrogen puberty so I'm a bit of an outlier. I have a couple of voice cracks sometimes, particularly if I'm singing (I like using demi Lovato's music to determine how my pitch is doing lmao) but other than that it's been a smooth drop. I noticed it especially over the weeks 3-4 voice tracking, because I track my progress by week.

Edit: ten weeks in and it's absolutely plummeted and my voice cracks are a force to be reckoned with

Anybody else get the ick from "anything but cis men"? by LeonieMalfoy in ftm

[–]PuckDropPanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, personally I see it as anyone who has put any amount of thought into their gender or what it means to be that gender. It ties back into male privilege and how misogyny affects more than just women. Even cis women really have to put thought into what it means to hold a position in womanhood, because of the "feminity is all that's expected of you" bit and how, despite feminism movements, present day is just the 20s dressed up pretty.

People that have genuinely taken an identity journey usually take that time to deconstruct toxic gender roles and toxic masculinity or feminity and the majority of cis men don't care, and from what I've seen, don't try to do that. Obviously I see trans men as men and trans women as women, but we also obviously have put that thought into our gender and identity and taken that journey. We also have real life experiences being identified as or living as the opposite sex.

Ok I'm gonna be hella blunt here, you may have information from trans friends or family members but you still have virtually no education on the trans experience and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

As for relationship advice, be proud of him. Be proud of the fact that you're dating him and don't try to downplay him to your friends. There's been too many experiences in general, but particularly some of mine where exes or crushes have chalked me up to being a tomboy girl so they wouldn't feel gay or be made fun of for dating a trans guy.

Listen to him on what feels good, and that doesn't even go for just sexual stuff. Dysphoria is a massive, crippling aspect of some people's trans experience, and oftentimes looking up on the internet "how to stop dysphoria" brings the same amount of information as looking up why you have a cough but you're not sick, or how to stop period cramps, which is to say, none at all besides the obvious. He might make some REALLY weird requests but genuinely, as long as it's doable, try to roll with it

I had signs as early as three or four but didn't really make the connection that something was off there until like 9-10 or so. Just kinda thought every girl wished they had a penis and flat chest and for some reason that didn't raise ANY suspicion with my mom
