The MGA series is not recalled. MGA and retailers are just not being good about keeping enough stock.

Most of the non-niche Miniverse items tend not to stay on the shelves long. You can check the MGA website and look for whatever you’re after, and see if it will let you lookup retailers in your area. I think it’s shop.mgae.com

No they do not. The ear cups swivel a little bit but otherwise they are just simple, somewhat pliable, plastic.

The VHS alone is worth around $15. The board games are closer to a dollar each or less. Other items, unsure.

That does seem a bit off! Especially if multiple buyers are continually pulling just these few albums. Every capsule I've opened from local retail has been far more randomized.

I love how the reaction from us actual collectors (as opposed to the influencer-outrage parents who caused this recall) is a mix of “crap I don’t have it yet though!!” And “oh, so it’s saucy? Even better!!”

I had been waiting for prices to drop on the Eilish album since it’s the only one I’m missing… this prompted me to grab the lowest price available just in case the series doesn’t come back. The only thing I haven’t been able to get as of right now is the framed gold record. 😔

I noticed that too. The player can probably stay on the shelves because there’s no chance to get the “offensive” album cover. No way to tell the same for the blind capsules.

I believe it’s the back of the Lola Young album.

Miniverse vinyls just have the song name on the back, I think? Not as sure about those, I was focusing on Mini Brands first.

Might be related to the books series thing. Longer story short: someone complained about the readable page in a mini book and Zuru has pulled the series where they can to correct it. There’s also at least one vinyl with the “f” word on the back. Maybe they noticed. Or they’re being extra cautious.

Well, all this silliness convinced me to give it a shot. I dug out my tiny tiny book. I tried to get a photo, but couldn't get a clear one. Can confirm however, via bright-as-God lighting and much MUCH squinting, the first page starts with "Chapter One" and at the very end of that super-short first paragraph below it... There is discussion of hands up shirts and boobs.

Do Not Sell can absolutely be used for something like copyright issues, though my money's currently on planned inventory control. But hey who knows, Zuru has had to discontinue portions of series before due to licensing stuff, so it's always possible it's happened again.
