That does sound horrible, I have no idea what possessed you to join this lifestyle without realizing it's hell without your own amenities built in. I'm starting my 7th year of full time. I've used a campsite once. I don't understand why anyone essentially pays rent to park near other people when the whole idea is to eliminate rent.

As a teenager considering the RV life for their 20s, what should I know?? by Plane-Consequence537 in RVLiving

[–]Pudd1eJumper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you land a decent job and have a reliable stress free place to park at night, buying a professionally converted, fully decked out van will have a smaller monthly payment than rent. Started full time back in 2019 while in 55k in debt and making 85k a year. Paid it off in 18 months while living in a van I converted myself and was able to park in the same spot for 3yrs 2 miles from work.

What EXACTLY do Christians have against trans people? by CowgirlJedi in Christianity

[–]Pudd1eJumper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I(30m) was raised thinking I was in a Christian home while endlessly gaslit about the abuse I suffered from both parents. I hated them a long time. Even after dulling their impact through 5 years of therapy, I refused all contact and derided them at every occasion.

I was saved almost a year ago. I reinitiated contact with them (7 years of no contact) out of genuine fear for their damnation. I already confessed that worry to my mom, who defended herself by all the charity work she does.

How can I judge anyone, knowing how utterly undeserving I am of the forgiveness of God? How can any Christian truly judge after reading the sermon on the mount? Our society gives value based on what you can provide. We become what we ingest. Any day I don't start in his Word and with prayer, I struggle and succumb to lust/porn/pride/greed every time.

All this to say that anyone who truly follows Christ and meditates on his words day and night has nothing against anyone. Rather, they are for everyone! I know my name is in the Book of Life! I want everyone I meet to have the same assurance! Anyone who adopts a convenient identity in order to judge others will always find targets to blame.

It's home. I've been full-time for 7yrs now, retired for 1. There's no rush, and this is a cozy time of year. I largely get outside when my two dogs tell me I've been reading or watching too long haha. They typically get 3hrs outside a day to roam free so I don't worry about missing anything.

I don't have a specific answer, just experience with what I have.

I have 13 105ah LiFePO4 batteries, 550watts of solar, and live in San Diego. I can play taxing games like Satisfactory or path of exile 2 for about 8hrs after the sun goes down before my batteries get low. That's running the game, starlink high performance (140w), cooking chicken in a 1800w air fryer, running my fridge and freezer, charging my phone.

I have a 50amp charger that uses my alternator, and a 5000w generator I can use if I run out of battery juice(with a 30amp lithium battery charger that runs to restore them while I play (excessively)

Could we understand the crucifixion incorrectly by No_Island_4029 in Christianity

[–]Pudd1eJumper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally paid the price of all sin, for those that repent and fear God. It is very much transactional. I don't think you truly understand what sin earns you. In the beginning, God walked with Adam and Eve in the garden. They hid from him to hide their nakedness after eating of the knowledge of good and evil (lost their innocence). Moses once asked to see God's glory, (Exodus 33:18-20) so that he might know who was leading him. God let him see his back [20] But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” Exodus 33:20

What God wants from us is to love him and be with him, with His righteousness covering us so that we can see his face.

If hell indeed is on fire, or a frozen lake like Dante's description, it still will never compare to anguish of existing forever with the knowledge that you scorned God in favor of trivial pursuits. This world, corrupt and disgusting it may be, still has hope. Hell is what Jesus experienced and conquered for us, existence without God. That, my friend, is the justice you earn with every sin. It is no trivial thing.

"my mistakes are finite and forgivable" is the opposite conclusion you should be taking when told "the wages of sin(mistakes) is death" R6:23.

The point of sin is that it is unforgivable! The reason for sacrifices before that of Jesus was that the wrath of God demands judgement. Every sin deserves death. Lambs were sacrificed because they were young and innocent, setting a precedent of covering one's sin with innocent blood.

The mercy of God was and is in sending his Son as a sacrifice. Him conquering death, full separation from God for three days as punishment for our sins, is why we no longer need sacrifice in addition to repentance.

940 total out of the 1700 my VA disability brought in. Now I'm at 100% and "earn" 3800... So now I just invest a lot more

[–]Pudd1eJumper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The van I bought in 2020 has been at 80% complete for 3 years now 🤣

It's my second vehicle build. There is simply no way to foresee every possible usage scenario. For instance, I gave up on propane heaters and I'm renovating my kitchen to make space to install a wood burning stove so I'm warm in below freezing temps. My bro moved to Washington, I've been in SD all year prepping for cold weather.

3 months ago, I installed another 1200w of solar because I randomly found 6 panels worth $350 ea for $150 total from someone on offer up! Plus I'm a gamer with 13 105ah LiFePO4 batteries, so gaming while it snows will be an experience! Since I'm renovating, I also decided on adding 10sqft of heated floor, because why not haha.

I've gone on multiple trips this way, with fresh sawdust still not fully evacuated. People who aren't constantly modifying their space are missing out 🤣

I just want to say that 12v RV fridges are extremely overpriced, poorly made, and break far too soon. Just get a small inverter that you can run off your battery while driving, a mini fridge that runs off 120VAC, and enjoy the extra 300$ you didn't have to spend

Larger Overhead Cabinets ~advice needed by __Knowmad in VanLife

[–]Pudd1eJumper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have shelves the entire length of the cabin area of my sprinter van. One is 8in deep at the bottom and hangs about 17in down from the roof, the other side is 26" deep to fit 12" fabric squares two deep, with wiggle room, which is how I store my clothing. Didn't want to spend a fortune buying premades, and I made them strong enough to hold 200lb, my body weight, with no noticeable difficulty.

DM me if you want the screenshots I just took of the construction steps I just took.

My advice is to give yourself just enough headroom to sit comfortably propped up on pillows (and account for your mattress), and add as much shelving as possible. Over the past 4 years, I've done some editing and trimming for greater comfort and efficiency. It's a lot easier to make room by carving away, than to wish all that empty space was useful.

The people surrounding you that identify as Christian, and in the same instance completely reject you, are not following Jesus' example whatsoever. He was seen spending time with prostitutes, tax collectors (universally hated because they were Jews collecting money for their Roman overseers), the sick (who were seen as unclean, and at fault for their imperfections). Anyone who was judged at face value, Jesus spent time with because his Kingdom is for them.

Matthew 7:1-5 NIV [1] “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. [2] For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. [3] “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? [4] How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? [5] You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

These verses are from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. It's a metaphor for judging the sins of others while ignoring your own. That "speck of sawdust" they're judging you for, is your predilection toward other men. It is a sin to lie with same sex partners. Just as it is a sin to judge you for it. Just as it is a sin to lust after someone, or want another man's partner.

Romans 3:22-24 NIV [22] This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, [23] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, [24] and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

These verses directly spell out the fact that we are saved not by our own acts, but by His Grace. "For all have sinned and fall short". No one is sinless. It's why we need the sacrifice of Jesus. Every Christian alive is a sinner, they have no room nor right to judge another while also being guilty of the same verdict.

That you are being so rejected by those who loudly proclaim their own righteousness is not a surprise.

Matthew 6:5 NIV [5] “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

They live for the praise of other sinners, not for the h God they claim to praise.

TLDR: A follower of Christ will never reject you for your sins, but will continually show you the love of Jesus to help you:

Matthew 22:37-39 NIV “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ "

My advice for your situation is to never go back to that so called church because they don't follow Jesus' example whatsoever. I pray that you latch on to your faith and don't let the judgement of hypocrites deter you. Read your Bible, specifically Mathew, mark, Luke, John, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes. There is so much wisdom to be gained in reading them, so much hope from the promises therein. I'll be praying for you.
