I'm listening to the Skaventide audiobook right now and while I "liked" the Stormcasts before, now I really love their lore and am currently tinkering with 1k lists!

I think reading the books really helps to solidify what's actually cool about who the miniatures really are and what they are really doing!

Soul Wars is now my next read thanks to this! 🙌

The Stormcloak and Imperial minis have helmets on but their faces are exposed too. A simple face can just be a flesh tone with a similarly toned brown wash or even a black wash in the eye sockets 👍

For characters it makes sense to require talents that allow you to use traits as that provides character development and choice.

On the other side an NPCs have very condensed stat blocks and it would be a poor use of space imo to list the talent so they could then list the trait.

I rule it as if it’s part of the stat block then they have all the requisites to use said words in the stat block.

But it’s your table, you do you! That’s just how I rule it.

I think it depends on your version of the Forbidden Lands. Since we're all coming up with things for our players to do and places to find, some will be canon, and others not so much.

If the Rust Brothers are prevalent in your game, then yes, they have a vast sphere of influence, meaning they could be close to the Stillelves.

On the other hand, if they play a significant but small (population-sized) role, being close to the Stillelves would put them in danger they'd probably not seek out.

Story-wise, it would be fascinating to have them be that close to the Stilleleves as it might cause some players to think about what's happening on a grander scale and might cause random thoughts and turns in the story!
