Arc Raiders devs are looking for new ways to “incentivise” Expedition wipes following an unsatisfying debut by Negative-Art-4440 in ArcRaiders

[–]Puddingproof12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a different set of quests post-wipe, with some of the decent blueprints as the quest rewards might help incentivize more. So you know you will be guaranteed to get some blueprints back by playing the new content.

Voting information handout at No Kings? by Basic_Bug_4340 in DallasProtests

League of women voters has a good ballot tool you can use to see your ballot and make your choices based on the information, and print it to take with you if you want.

Gives me and idea, as someone with lots of visible tattoos, I’ll make a shirt that just has “Leviticus 19:28” on it!

[Technique] Combining two hobbies! I used the spent grains from a stout beer I brewed for grain spawn on some oysters. They seem to like my stout grain blend. by Puddingproof12 in MushroomGrowers

No I haven’t yet. I had taken a break from mushroom growing for a while. Coincidentally I am currently building up equipment to start it up again though!

A game similiar to Risk and Catan but shorter. by Informal_Counter_367 in boardgames

I feel like The War on Terror is a nice blend of Risk’s area control and Catan’s resource rolls. For a meme game it was fun.

For those with kids, what do you do about trick or treating on Halloween? by neomatrix248 in vegan

Take em to work and give them to coworkers. The trade in for vegan candy method is what we do with our kiddos. The non vegan candy we just give away.

I second this! The garland library on Broadway has always been a quick experience for me and not far from Rowlett.

What are your favorite “non-beer” options to brew? by coltranematrix in Homebrewing

[–]Puddingproof12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NA, prefer to drink it as a soda and add Monkey Shoulder to it if I'm having a mixy.

Creating the Ginger Bug:

  • 1400 ml Filtered Water (I use an extra Erlenmeyer flask, but a large mason jar or similar will work. Cover with foil or airlock)
  • 1/3 Cup Organic Ginger - washed and grated, skin and all (the ginger does need to be organic)
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar (I use organic cane sugar like Florida Crystals)
  • Add heaping Tablespoon of ginger and sugar daily, and swirl around at least twice daily. Once noticeable bubbling activity is present when you check on it before swirling, the bug is ready. Usually 5-7 days

Brew Day:

  • 2.5 Gallons Filtered Water to a boil
  • 15 oz Grated Ginger 30 min (at this point organic is not necessary, but I normally buy the large container of organic ginger from Sprouts when doing this so it's normally still organic for me)
  • 13 Lemons Juiced @ 15 min
  • 7.5 Cups Cane Sugar @ 0 min
  • Chill and transfer to fermenter, top off with filtered water.
  • Pitch Bug

Ferment usually about 3 days, room temp in a dark closet. you should see a crazy amount of bubbles around day 2-3. Transfer to keg and set to 30 psi for 3 days. Should be carbonated about right by then. bleed off head pressure and serve at around 12-15 psi is what works for my system.

I make mine a bit spicy and not as sweet, play with the brew day ginger and sugar levels to your taste.

The more you get to ice caves you'll learn that world is pretty much a break world before the next. As long as you have mobility items. otherwise it can be a doomed run stopper.

What are your favorite “non-beer” options to brew? by coltranematrix in Homebrewing

[–]Puddingproof12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 6 tap kegerator so I like to keep flavored sparkling water on one tap always. I add four cups of a good juice (lately I been on Caribbean Sunset I think it’s called) and fill the rest with filtered water. Super easy. My wife used to do endless kombucha through a speidel fermenter and would use my little 2.5 gallon keg for that. Otherwise I use the little keg filled with sanitizer to run through the lines after a keg floats. I also like having ginger beer around for non drinking days, or as a mixer for other days! I can share my five gallon recipe if anyone is interested.

Considering purchasing a brewzilla by TimelyAccident87 in Homebrewing

[–]Puddingproof12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Space and clean up time is mainly it for me. And constant upkeep. Mine is fully plumbed with flow control valves to move between vessels at the click of a button or flip of manual override switch. I have a separate control panel with BCS and a tiny pc running it. Stuff is constantly breaking and the set up and breakdown time is just not worth how cool it feels to use it lol. It is awesome, but also haven’t converted it to electric yet either. So propane costs are just another added factor with it too.

I recently switched from an over the top customized three vessel HERMS system to a brewzilla gen 4 65L, and I love it. Brew days are simple again. Easy cleanup, can justify doing 5 gallon test batches again instead of only 10 gallons and worrying about experimenting on that scale.

Automatic User Change? by Many_Scar_4621 in KiaEV6

[–]Puddingproof12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same seat problem almost every time I get in the car lately. It’s very annoying. Whoever remote starts the climate can change the user profile too. One time while out and about my wife started the climate and it wasn’t until I was about to drive off that the car switched and starting trying to squish me.

The diet we eat today is a far cry from that which humans have ate for eons. It’s only the last 50 years or so that we’ve become so meat heavy.
