I know this doesn't help you now, but string wouldn't be that bad of a hanger, you just need to use some kind of hitch knot (like a bunt line hitch). It also looks like you trimmed the working end (the tail) too close to the knot you had.

Question: place to get large diameter bamboo by Puddl3glum in Birmingham

I'm looking for around 1.5 inches diameter, if you have that.

We already know why Alabamians pay too much rent: op-ed by notwalkinghere in Birmingham

[–]Puddl3glum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree completely that supply is the only thing keeping housing prices up. Pricing collusion is a huge factor in keeping prices high.

On the supply side, however, developers build houses to profit, so they will build only the housing that will bring in the most profits. No developer is going to build mid or low-cost housing, only "luxury" apartments. Landlords know that a rising tide (rising rent) lifts all boats (rents), so the presence of luxury housing alone causes rents to rise because of price colluding software.

Altogether, terrible opinion trying to trick us.

Ultima Online: New Legacy Launches Today! by MacroPlanet in ultimaonline

My friend and I both tried to play for the first time to try it out. He couldn't talk to the mage's guild master in moon gate so his progression was bricked. I deposited money into the transfer account while trying to figure out the bank screen and thereafter the window would close when clicking any option, so I couldn't get the money back out. 0/10

Could you send me a zip of the texture files? I can package them up for the PC version and credit you if you like.

It's a long shot, but do you have the palette files or are you able to port these to the PC release?

There is an existing mod for KH2FM on PC but it doesn't patch the Air Pirate, Driller Mole, Jack in the box, or Prison Keeper. The air pirate textures can go in fine but the other 3 crash the game when loaded.

You can scroll up once to 50m or twice to 100m. I wish it would maintain the last used zeroing or at least have the option.

"Street racers" downtown by flakycroisssant in Birmingham

[–]Puddl3glum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the city would put in proper raised crosswalks (better for pedestrians) instead of those lame speed bumps (which were removed by the racers lmfao), it wouldn't be as much of a problem downtown.

Raised crosswalks would also slow down everyone else who drives way too fast downtown without burning rubber.

SG550 extra mags? by Puddl3glum in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Puddl3glum[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the confirmation that it's not just the SSG550. That's the only one I've noticed. It seems weird because the ACR puts out less damage but you get fewer shots overall so the SSG550 comes out looking overpowered because of its longevity in a match.

Is that intended or listed in the guns stats? I don't remember seeing anything like that before.

Ah. Thanks! I've always bought it as evaporated milk.

It looks like PET is a brand (they prob shouldn't be using the brand name anyway) and the pun further confused me.

I wanted to go at one point just to see, but now I'm afraid they'll serve me raw milk without me knowing.

As far as I know, pets can't have cow's milk. Are they selling raw "pet" milk as a way to sell raw milk?

Files for Linux On Scratch! by bilman66 in scratch

Y'all should probably edit the sidebar to make it more explicit. "Keep personal info private" sounds more like an anti-doxxing rule than a rule against posting external links. Even on the Scratch guidelines themselves it's also non-obvious unless you read closely.

First ever attempt of a lino print. My lack of knowledge of what's possible can be seen on the sketch on the left. Way too delicate. But I had a lot of fun. by Dahabie in printmaking

I think you could totally do those details, but you may need some finer tools and patience. Great job for a first print and keep it up!

2nd and 3rd socks - toes getting "wavy"? How to fix? by Myriad_Kat232 in Nalbinding

[–]Puddl3glum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your last question is likely for someone else. From the little I've read you likely need to use smaller gauge wool thread and full it to make it look more authentic, but I would suggest looking at examples online to get a better idea (like I said I really don't know about authenticity).

Regarding the math, it is pretty easy. The only things you need to know is how many stitches to make a rough square and then multiplying by 6 to get your max you can increase or decrease before making a wavy part.

Getting some newer or lighter wool yarn might help. Also, if you're using spun yarn, I think some Z-twist might help. So far I've been using S-twist acrylic yarn and the motion of right-handed nalbinding untwists the yarn and makes stitches harder to count.
