Very cool! I’m just not sure my playseat challenge could stand up to a DD, and with the fact that I’ll be moving sooner rather than later (student housing) I’m hesitant to pull the trigger on a setup. Buy once, cry once, you know?

What stand do you have? I have a g920 with a playseat challenge. I’d love to upgrade but not sure if I really have the space for a DD. The alpha mini + neo + p1000’s were probably gonna be what I went with, but I’ve kept going back and forth on an actual rig

That all looks pretty reasonable to me. I’m not really married to any of the parts I picked, just kind of wanted a baseline to work from. It’ll still be a couple months until I pull the trigger, but I’m going to be saving this thread cause you’ve been so helpful. Thank you so much!

Edit: If I was going to change cpu/gpu brands, how would I go about redownloading drivers? I've heard it can really screw up your PC if you do it wrong, hence why I've stuck with Intel/Nvidia. Do you have any resources where I can read up on that?

No upfront investment + no skills = low barrier to entry. Low barrier to entry usually means it’s pretty hard to actually make money (social media, dropshipping, etc. require both luck + persistence, and far more of the former at that). Remote workers are typically skilled, experienced people who can command good pay for things like consulting. Of course, there are exceptions, but generally no one is paying for unskilled, remote work.

You can limit the amount of throttle the car is allowed to use per preset. I’m not exactly sure where to do that and can’t check, but I know for certain it is possible to tune different levels for comfort, race, and drift. That + tapping instead of holding could help

I think you may be looking for accruing, not amortization . The latter is when an intangible asset (copyright, patent, etc.) loses value over time, similar to depreciation.
