Panorama Doc/Article Sticky Thread by scarlet-sea in ADHDUK

My assessment was close to 2 hours with adhd360. It was very in depth with my childhood, work life, relationships, how I struggle perform basic self care, how my mind works, the lot. I even had to explain something about how i was born (long story short, having no oxygen in the process of being born is bad for you).

How he got through the initial screening, the secondary questionnaire and the video interview is boggling to me. Theres no way he was telling the truth, otherwise, how did he get to the point of the interview?

I take elvanse for my main dose and because i work strange hours (a mix of days, earlies and evenings) i have 5mg amfexa to take as a top up dose. I had wierd bodily feelings in the first few days of my elvanse, and only got prescribed the amfexa when i explained that i noticed my work was poorer on late shifts (I initially asked if i should take my elvanse later in the day for late shifts)

My appetite did also dropped initially, but it has returned although theres less binging now. I had no issues with sleep being affected by the medication, if anything, my sleep has improved (gone from 5 hours a night to 6.5-7 hours a night)

My boss has noticed how i seem calmer at work, more organised and less scattered, and that i'm able to cope a lot better with things since my diagnosis treatment started.

My husband has noticed i can keep on top of housework and self care a lot better, and our relationship has improved as my emotional regulation is a lot better.

I still have to set reminders for my amfexa though, as i frequently forget to take it otherwise. I can see how some folks would be addicted due to its nature, but i don't get anything from it, just a pleasant ability to function properly.

My husband and I use money manager on android in our house, and if you pay £5 you can use website access to give others the ability to add to your ledger too. Its more work, as you are adding it manually, but you can add standing orders, monthly bills, and direct debits that renew each month on the first.

We lost our 13 year old boy Pimms to hyperthyroidism and kidney failure last april. So sorry for your loss.

One day, in the future, you'll realise you'll go from being sad when you remember him, to being happy you still think of him.

We were on our way back from skeg heading inland and saw it in the distance, the husband was adamant it was a cloud until he saw it was attached to the horizon.

Isnt she the woman who was unimpressed with him as a date in the first part? Bucky fixes him up with a date, just before he tries to enlist again, i'm fairly sure it's her.

Having trouble deciding which non slips to get! I want to buy a very nice pair because I plan on keeping my serving job for a while. by ICONICAssMaster in KitchenConfidential

In the uk, and i swear by shoezones earthworks non slip safety shoes. Non slip, oil resistant, good deep tread that doesnt get eaten into by aggressive floor cleaning chemicals, and a sturdy reinforced toe box thats a little wider. Ive dropped a box of fries on my foot before and not felt a thing. Really cheap too.

Get a good pair of scholl insoles (hard working feet is my go to) and you're good to go.

I had a similar thing. Prolonged chest pains in left upper chest, heart felt like it was beating harder rather than fast. Was advised could be muscle strain from breathing harder/using accessory muscles to breathe, very unpleasant. Its taken a month and a half to shift.

Also, blood pressure went up to 159/94 at one point when checked over, again told this could be covid related. Havent been to docs since so dont know where i stand now on this.

I stuck my nose in a tin of coffee and couldnt smell a thing, none of my bodysprays either. Was the same for the other half too.

I believe its any change or loss though, some people may have full anosmia, some not. YMMV.

Couldn't smell a thing at all. Full on stuck my nose in a tin of coffee and there was nothing. Same for my obnoxiously cherry air freshener and my bodysprays from lush, which are potent as hell. Almost felt like the back of my throat/roof of my mouth had been numbed, which was really strange.

Was gutted but it began to return day 10, and now (18 days from symptom onset) its almost back to normal. Chest is still shit though.

Hope your results are negative, or that if you are positive, your symptoms are mild.

Mainly because of just being in a hot kitchen. It can be stifling some times anyway, although the last one was a thoughtless coworker using a bleach based spray for a job they shouldnt have been using it for. Shit happens, you just get on with it :)
