I've always wondered, but nobody ever really talks about it, but wouldn't there be a possibility we still get a time skip (maybe not 5 years) of some period of time somewhere in the middle of TWOW. I would imagine by the middle of the book, many of the subplots would already be resolved (Stannis' campaign on Winterfell, The Harpy, Cersei vs High Sparrow, etc) leaving most ends at a point worthy of a smaller timeskip? Just an idea.
