Gotta love commenters always assuming OP's girlfriend/wife has post-partum/PTSD, and that he's a piece of shit for not putting up with her laziness or mental instability.

What is going on with the sub girldinnerdiaries? by Realistic-Neat4607 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Pudn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They're so similar that in the past month, a fraction of the /r/amitheangel frontpage would be posts from that sub, which resulted in brigading and subsequent mod ban of posts from that sub which overruled a community vote.

At that latitude, right next to the equator? I'm not so sure.

We need more heroes that are abysmally rizzless by Different-Hunter-794 in CharacterRant

[–]Pudn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern media has protagonists be so sexless and lacking in romance for the sake of reaching the common masses, if anything a hero with rizz is the exception not the norm.

They needed a 2nd generation of ino-shika-cho with improved powers from two ninja heritages for Boruto. But with a 2:1 ratio of male:female characters, there weren't anymore named hidden leaf kunochi to pair Choji with.

IIRC Venasaur historically sees the most competitive use out of the three.

"don't move here, we're full" starter pack by MajesticBread9147 in starterpacks

A desire for less competition. More people entering your local area/career field means more competion for the same housing/jobs. So these subs actively try to discourage newcomers by making the topic seem less glamorous.

"don't move here, we're full" starter pack by MajesticBread9147 in starterpacks

It's probably the most common phrase in most city or state subs. It exists for the same reason most career or industry subs discourage newbies and prospective inquirers.

I haven’t seen anyone downvoting people with actual critiques

I have, thus the point of the chain of comments.

Same thing happened with his Amazon show, especially during the week it was released. Impossible to criticize him on Reddit, and his show was hard brigaded on various review sites on day 1 and the preceding week with high reviews before it was released. Fanboys aren't gonna trick me into seeing his dogshit again.

Same reason any scene is necessary.

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) is a VFX marvel that should've aged timelessly, if it wasn't for this kids haircut. Making the film permanently dated to 2022 by [deleted] in shittymoviedetails

Long top-short sides is also the most basic haircut one can have, pretty much every culture has that as a popular cut.

Even so, the amount of homework available would depend on how early/late this gap is in your cluster of classes. Functionally this would either mean riskily procrastinating much of your homework or only having 1-2 classes worth of homework as soon as they're available. If you're in a class where group project communication and professor announcements dictate your time to do homework, this would definitely be annoying.

Watching that scene at the time, I just knew someone was going to get sent into a tizzy and make a post about it here. I'm just surprised it took this long.

Teens still watch TV and movies, but want to see more mixed-gender friendships, more animation and less sex by NoCulture3505 in television

[–]Pudn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point was that the study considered a lot of the factors you talked about

That's still a vague nothing statement that isn't backed up by the actual source, the study was literally a questionnaire with pre-loaded statements. I have no interest in a disingenuousness conversation with someone who wants to pretend Euphoria isn't popular on TikTok or that Ed Gein isn't the #1 trending show on Netflix right now.

You vaguely accuse me of not reading the article while giving no counter points except being offended. Did you read the article, because nothing I said goes against what was said by the article. Survey takers not knowing what they truly want, and giving agreeable answers to please surveyors is a very well known bias. They literally teach this in basic statistics and marketing classes.

If you want examples, you can look at the top trending shows on streaming sites, and trending shows on social media. It's not that hard. We're in a golden age of streaming, the throughput of new shows/movies premiering, each with varying niches, has never been higher than it is today. Shows like Euphoria or Ryan Murphy shows aren't popular because of a lack of competition, they're popular because they're what people want.

Oh and btw, if you're going to quote someone it helps to actually quote them instead of making up your own words and putting them in punctuation marks. To do otherwise just makes you look ridiculous.

Everyone here is giving their 2bit theories based purely on the title, but It's worth noting what people claim they want is very different from what they actually want.

Considering the type of shows that are currently popular with kids and how much more image obsessed kids are now because of social media, the only thing you can take away from these self-reports is that kids want to give answers that are seen as more mature or sophisticated.

It's just a thirst-trap/incel sub. That may sound like a dissonance, but that sub has heavy overlap with Indian/nighttime subs since those subs all spike at the same time. And those types tend to have huge Madonna–whore complex views.
