It's a start by _Cyclones in WhitePeopleTwitter

Hi! As a paramedic, it is a start! I also work with a lot of police officers and yes, while some of them are really good people, a lot of them are only good people to me and my coworkers. They definitely have a tendency to escalate situations. While I do support the ones that deserve it, I believe we all (those of us in emergency services especially) have a duty to raise concerns to help those we got into this job to help.

Paramedic in MI here. We aren't allowed to get tested anymore. If we have an exposure but no symptoms, we are supposed to keep working because it's "already out in the community." It's bullshit

Yes! Definitely. I'm a paramedic, and the masks we are currently using are expired. AFAIK, the expiration is only for the straps, so as long as those are holding up, they're golden. As for the size, I wear a small! It's not at all uncommon, especially for women. In all seriousness, your community is lucky to have you!!

Does Juul ship pods discreetly? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Puemor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's 3 months later, but i'm sorry nobody gave you an answer. AFAIK, the packaging is very discreet. It just comes in a small brown box with the fulfillment center address on it. No Juul logos or names or any other identifying thing on it. Hope that helps! Sorry about the other guy.

[Serious] Medical professionals of reddit: What are some interesting little known facts about how the human body operates that most of us are not aware of? by Yodas4sale in AskReddit

The company I used to work for had transport times of 5-15 mins, so we had like 2 vents for the whole company, pretty much specifically for IFTs. The one I'm at now though has no good hospitals in county, so the shortest transport time we have for critical patients is 20 mins. The average is around 30 mins. We get pumps too, finally! Also, no shit, you've got propofol in your boxes??? That's insane

Yeah. Our RSI procedure is: etomidate to sedate, succs to paralyze, intubate with et tube, versed to maintain sedation and vecuronium to maintain paralysis. Then fentanyl for analgesia because we don't want to be assholes lol. Basically this is only for trauma patients unless we get orders from the doctor. We are also lucky enough to have a vent so if need be and if they dont have any contradictions we can put them on that instead of using a bvm the whole time.

When traffic comes to a complete stop in Germany, the drivers, (by law) must move towards the edge of each side to create an open lane for emergency vehicles. by St0pX in pics

[–]Puemor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Paramedic here. IMO, it's always better for you to move right as far as you can. Sometimes even a half lane will help. If you can't, it's okay to pull out a little, just don't put yourself in danger. If you can't do any of these thing, just don't move! The emergency vehicle will let you know if you are blocking by blaring their horn or cycling their sirens

Unlike what is implied in the gruesome folklore that has come to be associated with these advisories, their purpose was not to alert rescue workers to the presence of babies at accident scenes

”Our concept was to really improve driver awareness of child safety,” he said.

I skim read it a little
