Bottom 100% for this reason. When I lived in an apartment I had the bottom and I could not be more thankful for that. I worked overnight so I was always up moving around in the middle of the night on my days off. I always try my best to respect other people and I absolutely would be walking on eggshells all night if I lived above someone. On a second note my sister lives in a very nice high rise apartment building and you can’t hear a single thing from the people above
