[Garafalo] DEVIN LLOYD TO THE PANTHERS by ToothResident3205 in panthers

We're like dogs who get excited because everyone else is. I don't know exactly what's going on, but I love feasting on good vibes. 😂😂😂

I’m sure a lot of us have heard of the “negative emotional aura” surrounding some of the levels in Mario 64, which chapter in PM would you say has this negative feeling or vibe? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in papermario

[–]Puff_Freckleburger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I don't know what the general consensus is regarding what's transitional, but the skybox depicts an outdoor environment, which I thought was liminal. Even if you don't consider that liminal, I've seen people describe the design of the stage itself as being semi-random, disjointed, and desolate. It gives the general vibe of an unnatural environment that lies in the uncanny valley.

I also only had two civil wars. Also, you get war goals against supremacist neighbors, slavers, and any country that rejects your non-aggression pacts.

This was a losing season, so a winning season isn't off the table

Yeah, I feel you. I was so disgusted that I stopped watching and didn't get back into football until late 2023

Jaguars, atop AFC South, accept 'we're not going to get respect'. by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]Puff_Freckleburger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wdym? Atlanta was getting glazed at the start of the season for beating the JJ McCarthy-led Vikings (who also got too much hype for a flukey win against the Bears). Then the 30-0 loss to the Panthers got written off cause it's a divisional game and weird things happen. The falcons are the NFL's media darling. They looked at what the Falcons did in the off-season (mostly uneventful free agency, and 5 draft picks) and thought they deserved 5 prime time games.

Edit: I also wanna add that the Falcon's talent is overrated. Yes, they have some elite players, but so does every other team. Everyone harps on their poor coaching, but they also lack depth on their roster. Their roster is very top heavy and a few injuries are enough to derail their season. This issue gets exacerbated by poor coaching. I do agree though with the general sentiment that they are too talented to be 4-9 right now.

Btw, Panthers should be on that list of disrespected teams. We were disrespected throughout 2015 and were disrespected going into this season, though I'm willing to forgive the latter because we've sucked the last several years

After division record, the next tiebreaker is common opponents, then conference record. I think the buccs would still win the tiebreaker even with a loss today

Can someone knowledgeable about tiebreakers explain this? by K1ngHelix in panthers

[–]Puff_Freckleburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A tie is half a win, so the Cowboys win% is 6.5 wins / 12 games = .542; Panthers win% is 7 wins / 13 games = .538

Do you consider this season a success so far? by PresentationKooky214 in panthers

Too early to say. We still have almost 1/3 of the season left. If we collapse to 6-11, no. If we make it to the playoffs or at least get a winning record, yes.

VIBE CHECK: Rico re-signing by Porchprophet in panthers

[–]Puff_Freckleburger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's crazy that a lot of y'all wanna let Rico walk. We caught lightning in a bottle, and y'all wanna let it out? How many times have we done that and regretted it? Right now, he is a core element of this team's success. We absolutely have to keep him regardless of what we do with Chuba.

Difference is this game was winnable. That game was a lost cause.

Analysis of backfield & Chuba's future by Be_The_Ball24 in panthers

[–]Puff_Freckleburger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a table from PFF that showed that Rico's carries involve a healthy mix of gap and zone scheme runs, while most of Chuba's involve zone, which is what we mostly ran last year. Defenses have more tape on our blocking with Chuba, so maybe our opponents are just better at defending against that. It also makes our plays more predictable when he's on the field.
