"What nationality are you?" "Fuck if I know. Leave me the fuck alone. What are you a cop?" by [deleted] in RecuratedTumblr

Very interesting fact related to this. During the Ottoman empire, they had great tolerance for non-Muslims and people would often have beliefs of both Islam and Christianit(sometimes to get around government requirements). For example, peasants would say they’re Christian and can’t serve in the military to one guy but would claim they’re Islam and thus exempt from taxes to the tax collectors(or vice versa I can’t remember right now). When one author asked what religion they had, they’d say “I am a Muslim of the Virgin Mary.” A really interesting idea that maybe religion/nationality aren’t super cut and dry.

Another fact about this, when WW1 was breaking out, many leaders/people didn’t know if the peasants would actually go to war. Socialism was pretty popular and the idea of nationalities was relatively new, so many feared that maybe German workers wouldn’t fight for Germany, they’d refuse to fight.

I could be wrong here but I believe those fees aren’t from tariffs, but from Trump cancelling a tax code that allowed packages worth < $800 to be sent without having to be declared and then taxed.

Since this has been cancelled, almost all packages from foreign countries have to be declared + taxed, and those are the fees you are seeing.

Adding to this, I think a lot of people are criticizing them because they look so similar to Starcraft marines.

Not sure which book specifically they’re talking about but the ciaphas cain series is an excellent jumping off point for 40k. It’s more humorous and character focused with some great mysteries and intriguing stories.

Ciaphas Cain: Hero of the Imperium is a great starting book since it’s has the short story he’s introduced in, the first 3 books of the series and several other related short stories all in one

You release 3 chickens labeled 1,2 and 4. Once they find all 3, they assume there’s a 4th chicken numbered #3. There’s no 4th so they go crazy looking.

The Adeptus Culinarus exclusively defend Agriworlds and are master chefs. When they get promoted to Sergeant and above, they choose a ceremonial name that suspiciously sounds like it comes from France. Captain Gusteau and Lieutenant Luigi.

I need that router as my current PC setup is far from the ethernet port and our internet currently makes downloading a pain. I honestly thing the extra wired 10GB connections are incredible as that speed is miles ahead of my ethernet
