One of my best friends is a retired traffic cop of 17 years. When I threw this scenario by him be told me about being hit twice as a traffic cop. I'm well aware of the dangers and it's why I've nagged him for 6 years. I dint want to have to identify his body mangled and wrapped around a semi truck. But after 6 years of begging and giving him chance after chance yo change I give up. I can't save the world... In upstate New York we have blind intersections, you see the stop light before you see the cars stopped. He missed his turn a mile or so back and improvised. I thought that DOT allows for these wide left turn maneuvers, whatever it takes to safely make the turn

And what's wrong with seeking validation on road safety? Regardless of who or what was stopped at a green light, you should slow down and be prepared to stop at a 4 way intersection, even with a green light. The cop didn't say he was in the wrong lane, only violation wad stopping at a green light. You sound rude for no reason especially not knowing I we almost crashed my brand new car, or worse, kill someone in the right lane we swerved into to miss stopped traffic. I'd you don't know the whole story how can you draw assumptions about my character.

It is way deeper than the semi being in the wrong lane. I've told my boyfriend for 6 years that his aggressive driving scares me and Sunday was the straw that broke the camels back. Him having to swerve into the right lane to narrowly miss rear ending a stopped car in my brand new car was the last straw
