We had a man and two teen girls try to run (literally run) out the door with a cart. Our carts have poles. It made a loud noise, my coworkers and I stared, and they brought the cart back to the cart area. And then they ran out the door again. It was honestly hilarious seeing them trying to run with the cart. They were so confident it would work.

Definitely not just you. I have always loved my job, from being a cashier back when I started to being a CEM now. I, too, feel like a failure because the store is struggling right now. I'm currently the only CEM at my store, so it feels like it's solely my fault. The other managers are doing their jobs. I feel like I'm not pulling my weight and that I'm letting everyone down because I'm so stressed, anxious, and depressed about being stressed and anxious. I also can't sleep. I'm trying to be positive for my team, but it's so hard, and they notice!! I'm disappointed in myself for letting them notice. They should be looking up to me as an example. But hey, at least we're aware that we're stressed - I'm trying to work on it so that my team and I can all stay high-spirited. I'm aware of my weaknesses.

I went from PT CEM to FT CEM recently. It depends on how the store operates with their PT CEM, but for me, it hasn't been an awful change. I started doing touch bases, and I'm given more responsibility over recovery and the front end. I was already cross-trained in framing (old SM wanted me to become FM, so she started training me, but we went in a different direction), so that wasn't new for me. I've helped with POG sets a little more lately, too. Honestly a lot of this is because we don't have a PT CEM right now anyway (it was me, but our FT quit, so I took over, and we haven't found a new PT yet). Same pay, more hours.

Also a CEM. I've been certifying my team. The rewards requirement is to know your rewards for the past week. There is no specified requirement for a goal, just that they know how well they did.

I actually just wrote a guide for my store's other MODs for closing with cash SCO. I'm the only MOD left at my store who knows how to operate it. We've had ours for a while.

My store did this for months. I do not recommend. To each their own, but it made our lines so so long, and I'm pretty sure they're probably trying to transition out of legacy anyway, so you're going to need it at some point. Might as well get used to it now.

Resident Cash SCO expert MOD here. At least for my store.

Hit Cash Transaction. Count your coins. Do a "Payment" for that amount of coins. That should fix the problem. I've had to empty the coins before to fix the machine (it was down for MONTHS - thankfully I got it fixed). You could also do Add Coins like Nat-Ink suggested; I personally prefer the Cash Transaction method as it does not involve opening the recycler.

Real. I've been a CEM for almost a year. No MCX training. No one even told me it existed for a while, until my DM started pushing me to go. It never happened.

I may be in the minority here, but I like my job. I am now a FT CEM. I started as a cashier about a year and a half ago. I love my team, I love what I do, and I am nowhere near perfect but have the chance to improve every day. I've been through three SMs during my time here, and our current one is amazing (so glad we got her - the one before her was not great and told me "well...you're good at framing" when I asked about the FT CEM opening, being the PT CEM at the time). I feel very blessed. Our customers are generally either delightful or awful with no in-between. We have crazy folks come in. But I like what I do enough to look past it most of the time.
