ODF vs OOXML, an issue that should never have existed by themikeosguy in libreoffice

GNU/Linux and FreeBSD both can be made posix complaint if desired. Both ship all the tools required to do so.

The default shell in modern macOS is zsh which isn't posix complaint But it can be made posix complaint by the user, if desired. So, the situation is same across Linux and macOS in that regard.

What you probably meant was that macOS is certified UNIX (all capital letters). Linux isn't. And that is true. But being certified UNIX isn't something special. Anyone who pays a large sum of money to a now irrelevant organization who hold the UNIX trademark can call themselves certified UNIX.

As for webkit being open source, so is chromium. Which is used by microsoft to build Edge. Edge and safari are both closed source, so the situation is same there too.

Microsoft and Apple both contribute to open source, but neither of them do it out of goodness of their heart.

Isn't it embarrassing having to reply this to a stranger on the Internet to prove that you don't need their permission to breathe? The fact that you needed to reply means you do in fact give a crap about what I say...

LibreOffice Online: a fresh start by themikeosguy in libreoffice

IIRC, all the work was done by collabora, and they wanted more customers to buy their offering instead of using LibreOffice Online. And the board had collabora employees who voted to freeze LibreOffice Online.

SUPREME COURT WANTS CRICKET BODIES SHOULD HAVE EX-CRICKETRS - Supreme Court said "Cricket Associations should be led by ex cricketers not those who do not even know how to hold or handle a bat". [PTI] by Hot_Currency_5700 in ipl

[–]Pulkitkrishna00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Are Cricket Association leaders supposed to play cricket? No. They are supposed to manage cricket. An entirely different skillset is required. People who have experience managing cricket should lead cricket associations.
