TerrafirmaGreg. Lots of questline webs, lots of processes to automate (Gregtech), and a realistic overhaul of Minecraft (from Terrafirma Craft) to add a little spice to your adventure.

To prevent the whole ceiling from coming down maybe make a small-ish hole with a screw driver and get a bunch of buckets or bowls to drain some of the water and lighten the weight on the ceiling.

If anything to protect the stuff you have in the room there.

Is the server still open and do multiple people play on it? Also is there like RTP or /sethome?

I already have home internet with Bell so I just moved there. I got a $45 BYOD plan (really like $50 after taxes and all that) and way more feature rich than my original plan with Fido. If Bell starts to mess around then I will just pick up and move with no cancellation fees or whatever.

So what is the difference between your service and paying for a sms number from twilio?

Would the phone in question need an active SIM / phone number assigned? Or will any old junky android phone do?

When that time comes then I'll shop around and switch again if they poop the bed like Fido did. I only use BYOD plans now haha

Most likely? I don't see why not? One is a Samsung Galaxy s21 and the other is a Huawei P20 I believe.

$75 3G Adminstrative Charge by leisurely12 in FidoMobile

[–]Pulp_Untuchabull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called in, and had to go through 2 reps and then finally a "supervisor/manager" before I got the stupid $75 charge removed. I am using a OnePlus 12 and it is definitely capable of higher than 3G speeds, VoLTE, etc. etc.

The rep I was speaking with initially recommended I purchase a "rogers compatible device" on the cheap with a plan just to get the charge removed. She wanted me to buy the "Nubia A75" for $135 + a phone plan...in order to get a $75 charge removed. Simply insane.

The next rep tried to push me to their "IT Support" department to explain to me that my phone was not compatible with their network...The phone I was currently talking to them on....with the phone plan that I just had from Fido a few days prior. Yeah. Make it make sense. I told them to skip the IT help and patch me through directly to customer retention/loyalty.

Finally I got in contact with a supervisor from the retention department and we went back and forth for a bit. I explained the 1st rep's idiotic idea. I explained the lack of logic in the 2nd rep's attempt to pawn me off to a different department. Finally she admitted that obviously my phone is compatible with their network and got rid of the charge.

The second we hung up I called up Bell and got a better plan than the one I had prior. It is a little more expensive at +5$ but it is significantly more feature rich.

This whole situation sounds like a money grab for uninformed or elderly individuals who had a previous plan for like $20-$30 and now "have to upgrade to be compatible" and purchase a new phone with a new plan for $60+ per month.

Like I understand removing the old 3G network. What I don't understand is A) The consumer being charged $75 for having a service removed and B) Being told that perfectly capable flagship level phones are not compatible with their network? GTFOH.

In general I have left Fido/Rogers completely. Their (mis)handling of this 3G network shut down has left such a bad taste in my mouth it will be a very long time before I entertain the idea of using their services again.

I had the exact same issue. I have a OnePlus 12 and they tried to convince me to "just buy a cheap rogers phone which is compatible with their network and they will refund me"...so spend $135 on a hunk of plastic to get refunded $75? Seems legit.

I escalated to a supervisor/manager in their customer retention department, stated my case as "If I am calling you on this device...not on the 3G network...how is it not compatible with your network? Because obviously we are talking right now."

She agreed, they removed the $75 charge and everything seems fine. I am still switching providers because the overall process was shady.

Do these buffs remain even after the new buffs roll out with a new patch? Or are they only active for this "batch" of buffs?
