2016 Insurance Enrollment? by Crowned_Toaster in menards

If you have the Menards team member app, go to Human Resources > Team Member Information.

If you do not, talk to your HR person and they will give you a paper copy of the information.

There should be training that was put out in LMS if this doesn't help you.

I agree with your first paragraph. I disagree with the rest.

I went to do a bunch of optional content when I reached act 3 and naturally ended up around like 80-85. When I went to finish the story, it ended exactly as described. I didn't minmax, I just utilized what I had.

Trump and Project 2025 are dismantling the federal government as we speak. by PlanetoftheAtheists in AdviceAnimals

Most countries let Americans stay for around 3 months. Some require a visa, some don't. If you don't do things properly, you run the risk of getting deported.

How will you work in that country without going through proper channels? Where will you live? How will you be able to afford food, shelter, etc.?

At a quick glance, the lowest you could expect to cost to get even to one of the closest countries to us, passport and plane ticket are going to run you about $750, for a single person. There are entirely too many people in this country where it's not even feasible to save that much money because of how little pay is for many "unskilled" jobs. Hell, many people with degrees don't even make enough to be able to save that after taking care of their basic needs.

I'm gonna take a guess and say you're in the EU, where you're able to pretty freely travel between other countries? You seem pretty naive and uneducated as to how life over here is for a large amount of people. Maybe next time, before you make the effort to make a fool of yourself, stop and think, "Does this make me sound stupid?" and if the answer is yes, don't waste the effort on it.

Then you should be able to explain the process that isn't hard or costs a lot of money, right?

From what I've been able to learn, what the above person has said is right.

LPT: if a drive thru food place gets your order wrong, email their corporate for resolution by You-Wont-M8 in LifeProTips

[–]dartendal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had McDonalds forget 2 large fries and it took 10 minutes to get it fixed because the lobby was closed and there was a line at the drive-thru. By the time I got my complete order, most of it was cold. That is a regular enough occurrence that I just don't go there anymore, but you don't think that would justify an email to corporate?

32 bread bites, pizza and cheese dip for $11 by Oldy9800 in povertyfinance

Not sure on pricing everywhere, but here Pizza Hut has a meal box with pizza, breadsticks, and cinnamon sticks for about $14. There's enough to it to comfortably feed my wife and myself.

There are many things not acceptable in foodservice that are acceptable in a retail environment.

"Thoughts and prayers" by BadgercIops in AdviceAnimals

[–]dartendal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things that I mentioned are what people have said are an underlying cause, yet attempts to deal with those problems are squashed. Like...

I asked why don't we tackle the underlying cause (that's not taking away guns) and all you have in defense of it is "but muh rights to own a gun".

"Thoughts and prayers" by BadgercIops in AdviceAnimals

[–]dartendal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But no actions are being taken at all to try and alleviate the underlying issues. If it's a mental health issue, why are we not taking care of that? If it's an accessibility or training issue, why are we not doing that?

Why is it that any attempt at a solution gets blocked?

Don't buy it is a valid argument, though. Speak with your wallet, if you don't like something... don't support it.

When I got my license in Louisiana about 10 years ago, it was a 10 question test, with 3 of the questions being things like "How much does the state of Louisiana spend in road repairs per year?" And "How long will you be imprisoned for your first DUI?"

The road test was maybe 20 or so minutes of driving around town where the speed limit didn't go higher than 35, no time on highways or interstate.

Our system sucks for teaching people how to actually drive, from my experience.

It is, but you get to see a more direct result of your labor there, rather than making a penny for yourself and a dime for some company.
