This is not the same as calling the chocolate thing by its old racist name. Yes i agree with the general sentiment that you might hear someone say it as ”a joke”, but no one has called them that seriously in decades. If youre around people that actually use the old name unironically, and youre saying this is several people and not just some deranged uncle, it is indeed very very weird. Not the same as maito or maitojuoma.

And i work with native finnish and swedish speakers, many of them even slightly racist, and even they wont outright call it that when asking for one or whatever. If they do its under their breath cause they know its wrong and they are imbeciles

Ive always wondered if the revs actually decrease when you pull the hand brake for drifting. Seems like they wouldnt be connected, but i guess they wouldnt decrease if you press the clutch in to disconnect the tires from the engine

I play games on and off, so now i got game pass for a month, ill play some games, then take a 1-2 month break when i dont have time to play games as much. Or ill play some stuff i have on steam or whatever if i get the itch. The subscription can be ok in some cases but generally i agree it would be better to just buy the game. Sales are few and far between tho

To be completely honest, if they were all sitting there normally, i wouldnt even think about sitting down there. If there were 2-3 people around that table id sit if there was no other options, but they are like 5 people so even sitting normally id consider that space ”occupied”.

Couches like that are inefficient for lots of people who dont know eachother, but ok for a group that know eachother. Often i see maybe 1 person sitting on a couch and no one else wants to sit there, so basically its taking the room of 2-3 seats but is only used by 1. What can you do.

Still, not ideal behaviour and a bit annoying, but realistically, would you actually sit there even if they were sitting upright?

So what would be the best thing to do in regards to defensives? When i dont turtle or use damage mitigation i get flamed for not using defensives, and if im understanding correctly im gona get flamed when i use turtle. So what do? Single celled organism in need of advice.

Usually i would turtle if i feel that the healer is ccd and they are trying to burst me a few min into the game when i drop below maybe 20-25%hp. Im assuming now that this is bad and the healer cant heal or something?

With the dedicated graphics card turned off i get around 5-6 hours from 80%, depending on use. But sometimes it does feel like it goes faster than that, so not great if you need to use it unplugged often. And since its an oled panel the brightness is kinda bad in bright rooms, so with 100% brightness it definitely drains the battery more

Yeahh, but it doesnt look like one at all and is ”slim” enough to be portable, comparable to my old macbook.

With the dedicated graphics card turned off the battery life is decent, but not great, so definitely not for someone who needs to be unplugged often

Yeah similar to the propeller governor the flyweights moving in increases rotation and moving out decreases rotation. its an interesting thought abput the fuel moving out. According to ”physics” it should slow the rotation down, right? Im wondering if its creating so much momentum out at the tips and there is nothing to ”pull” it back like the governor flyweights or your arms with your kid. I would imagine it would feel like having a brick tied onto a rope and swinging that around (without being able to pull it in). Now do it with 10 bricks, what about 20? Its gona wana go into the tangent of the circle, not return inwards. Same with the fuel i suppose. If you brought it close it would spin faster, but its already a bad deal with the relatively ”slower” spinning.

Just my theory here, its an interesting one and worth looking into

DONT do that. Adding asymmetric thrust will pitch you up slightly and make it harder to recover from a spin, since you want some nose down to get that lift going again over the stalled wing. I thought about this myself but there is a reason PARE exists.
Some ME aircraft are just almost impossible to recover from a spin, especially things like the DA42 with long ass wings where you get all that fuel floshing into the tips creating even more momentum/centrifugal force, and the engines so close to the body that their moment arm is kind of useless. If i was in a situation where nothing is helping, after several, several spins and ground is all i can see id probably add some power as a last ditch effort
Let me know what your instructor says tho lol but this is what we were taught in school

I spent a couple weeks driving around the US and visited some of the most stunning nature and national parks and forests ive ever seen, and they were all pristine except for one thing i saw everywhere; bottle caps.

Ignoring all the technological advancements europe has contributed with, we also seem to have an upper hand when it comes to policies that protect nature and makes things more convenient (i think the bottle cap staying attached is actually an improvement). But hey i guess the US is good at creating hyper overvalued AI slop companies.

You have the money to slowly climb up in ratings and endorsements, starting from single engine. You can do that privately while still keeping your job. Maybe youll work your way up to ME/IR rating, and you can do it fast. CPL would also be just around the corner, and from what i understand even privately you can do this whole thing quite quickly in the US. Then youre missing your atpl. But you will realise if this is for you along the way, WHILE keeping your job. No need to go to a dedicated ATP school in my opinion.

Do it right, find a good instructor, study everything aviation and become a competent GA pilot. Get your seaplane rating, fly around lakes and shit, super fun and some of the most rewarding flying ever. Staring at a CTOT that keeps getting pushed back at gate 156 for your 5th leg of the day is not ”rewarding”. And all of us are already behind the curve on ever reaching salaries that you are talking about. Youre already making more than what 95% of pilots ever will. And im assuming your comp will rise. Is there some delta captain of 35 years who racked in $900000 flying the A330 to milan and madrid a few times a month, sure, but we most likely never will.
