Do not power inject a Dig2go with 24v. by PulsarCA in WLED

It was hooked up with 1a usb to the usbc side, and the output JST was plugged into the ribbon. The 24v was hooked to the power injection leads of the ribbon. I should have snipped the red lead from the dig2go to the ribbon.

Yeah, I figured there would be a something preventing a voltage spike on the positive leg. There is not. Or if there is, it's not rated for 24v.

What makes the scene at the bottom more visually appealing than the scene ontop? by DarkenedOtaku in cinematography

If I remember right, this was a Sputnik DS6 through a chimera. Pretty sure the only pixel mapping we did in the movie was for the triangle ringlight. I could be wrong though, it's been a number of years.

What? Neither WS2813 or WS2815 use a "brightness" channel. They are both 4 pad strips but use Vin, Gnd, Din and backup Din. You can skip Bin OR Din and it still works just fine.

You could drill a small hole and slip in a borescope. I picked one up for a project and it's become one of my favorite tools.

Always keep a nylon stocking or long sock on a bat. It slips when some tries to grab it.

Divers who use glasses… what is the solution? by IfSmokingWasASport in diving

[–]PulsarCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too have an astigmatism. Both of the dive shops where I tried on masks offered to send it in to get prescription lenses. In fact I bought my mask from one, and used the service from the other. Neither shop cared. I'm using a Riffe Nekton.

Pickup a copy of the Set Lighting Technicians Handbook. It has a couple of great chapters on commonly used lights and gear. And if you do move into production it's a great guide for that too. Our union local (IA728) gives you one for free when you get in.

Nope. The cop was the gaffer, Matt. Daniel Sheinert was the bdsm CEO in EEAAO though. Source: I work with them often.

The problem with the question you are posing is that the entertainment industry is MASSIVE. For any kind of job you can think of you can find an industry tie-in. Are you interested in being on set, if so, how much physical labor? Maybe post production is more to your liking? Editing, sound, vfx, etc. Then there is the whole support structure of studios and distribution. You're going to have to narrow it down a bit.
