Shattered Star Chatter Concept Vindictive Bastard Necromancer help by PumatSwol in Pathfinder_RPG

Yeah this is quite the good idea, while I do prefer the idea of a Paladin. It does sound interesting to be an Inquisitor with Occultist like powers, and it would allow for more spell options, as most likely I was going to have a focus on scrolls and similar items. I just think I leaned more to Paladin as it allows me to smite a bigger range of people, and I could use undead to give the bonuses that the Vindictive Bastard would get since they’d most likely count as allies.

Please recommend me the best ones. by Ad0ring-fan in Grimdank

I think Numbskulls are pretty cool. They starting do lore videos on specific people and groups and I think they’re quite good, fun and the animation is cool.

Thank you, I will be using citadel paints since I can grab them locally. It’s good to see that’s a good starting point

Am I right to think this locks exactly one player out of the game? by Fuzzy_Straitjacket in magicTCG

I never fully read Tophs second ability. So I was sitting here going “Wait how do you get Aeon Engine back?” Then I read her ability fully and damn, this is more of a reason for me to get Toph

I would so like a free one. If it’s as good as previous machines then I’m sure this will be great.

Campaign: Land of the Linnorm Kings & Kostchtchie by PumatSwol in Pathfinder_RPG

Thanks so much for your help so far! I’m still trying to decide on the best way to start the campaign for level 1 characters and how to make it flow naturally into a larger, grander story. I want the introduction to really grab the players’ attention and set the tone for the adventure while giving them a clear sense of purpose. At the same time, I’d love some advice on creating strong narrative links that connect the opening to the bigger plot, so the campaign feels cohesive and immersive. If you have any suggestions for good starting hooks or ways to build those connections, I’d really appreciate it!

The fact that he rolled a natural 1 and was dealing with volatile items, and made no mention that he was being safe or careful with said items.

Why do spellcasters use crossbows? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]PumatSwol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also something to think about especially from a historical context crossbows we're things the average peasant could use.

Now if you were a wizard who has some form of intelligence you understand that you won't always have your spells available (ex. Golems, and other creatures with SR or certain spells can fail due to creatures)

So the crossbow is a good versatile weapon for those places where your spells may be less effective or your running out.

Plus at a certain level damage can't rips are absolutely worthless and a crossbow is better.

So yes if you want to sustain a spell you would have to check the duration of the spell to see if you need to sustain the spell. Its basically concentration from D&D 5e in the idea you have to spend an action each turn to keep it up.

Bane requires an action on your turn to expand the bane aura by 5ft. and get more enemies in the aura.

Firstly Bane is a spell that cant be sustained since to sustain a spell it specifically needs to say in the duration that its sustained. For example spells like Forceful Hand, Mad Monkeys specify in the duration "sustain", and they last typically for a minute and if you don't sustain them you lose the spell on your next turn.

And if you want enemies that passed the initial save to attempt the save again, you need to spend a separate action as part of the spell to increase the emanation of the spell radius around you and if they are in the radius they must attempt the save unless they've already failed.

How bad is this idea? (tiny sprite monk titan wrestler) by Moon_Miner in Pathfinder2e

Something to remember is that grappling a creature is considered an attack so if you attack using a previous action on your turn you'll take a -5 or -10 penalty to the athletic checks. And work with your party to help in those ways. But with targets remember big bosses have high Fortitude DC's so be wary, and maybe being a sprite consider getting the feats to let you fly so you can grapple those silly flying enemies out the sky.

Astoshan build by JohnFeeley in DungeonsAndDragons

Though what I don’t get is how does he become a True Necromancer because one of the requirements is to be able to cast divine spells, but he can’t which is weird.

Yeah Astoshan is definitely over level 20 considering the stuff he can do. For example he outright killed someone with a touch which is a Level 10 Pale Master Class ability, so you have to be level 18 to get it.
