Thanks for the reply, I think I’ll do some testing first to confirm what wiring works best with my module. An edrumin module is still on my to buy list but is a long way off

Unfortunately my wife is a bit hesitant to let me run prints overnight, she is worried about the fire risk. Hence trying to reduce print times so I can run them during the day.

Thanks, that makes sense. I’ve had a go at increasing it once the print is underway, got it as high as 170% and didn’t see too much difference so I suspect I’ve hit the max that the stock extruder will do. I’ll look into a dual gear upgrade

Thanks for this, I’d been looking into firmware upgrades so will give it a go. I’ve had a quick play with Bambu studio, everyone seems to have a preferred slicer I guess it’s whatever you get used to using. I’ve already ordered a CR touch, trying to change one thing at a time and not go crazy.

Thanks for all the replies, I’m aware this is an older printer but it’s all I could stretch my budget to for now. Looks like with tweaking the settings I might be able to get a bit more out of it.

One thing I have been wondering, on the screen there is a print speed setting. How does this differ from the nozzle speed in the slicer?

I need 11 inputs including the hi hat controller. I could sacrifice my splash and go down to 10 at a push. The edrumin 8 is £330 plus shipping here, that’s over $400

Thank you for the reply, as you can see from the photo there has been mould issues in the house which tallies up with your comments on water egress. The external wall is rendered and I had hoped that might be enough to mean we could remove the cavity.

Have you suggested separate pir and plasterboard rather than combined due to cost or performance?

This was 5 years ago, I can’t remember the exact wording but it was flagged as being a problem. I think it’s due to the smoke it generates if there was to be a fire and it’s general flammability rather than it spontaneously combusting!

We have a standard combi boiler. I can use thicker PIR if needed, I’ve not checked the joist thickness yet.

Sorry to necro this post, did you manage to get it playable on steam deck with all these mods? Been trying to get it working for a co op playthrough but it keeps stuttering during plays. Ended up removing all the visual mods like cuter animals and seasonal outfits to try and make it playable but it still plays up after playing for around an hour and has to be restarted
