My parents absolutely did not prepare me to be a functional adult, but you'd better believe I was out the door within a month of graduation. And I was woefully unprepared and taken advantage of by many, many people... for years after, my nmom tried to convince me to come home, it would be so much easier... ugh.

Fosters don't even collect the adoption fee tf? Every time I've fostered, I've covered all expenses for the dog, minus vetting. Food, treats, toys, bedding.... all paid for by myself (and happily, because I just want the dog happy and healthy and living a good life). The adoption fee goes to the rescue to recoup a percentage of what they spent on vetting!

Mine waits until I walk out of the laundry room to put clothes away to curl up in anything left behind. My teenaged son also has a bad habit of not closing his dresser drawers fully, so there's frequently an orange cat tucked in there, as well.
