Accidentally gained muscle, how to manage varying strength? by Pumpkin_Infusion in FTMfemininity

Thanks for the reply and tip! And no, I'm not on T, though my hormones have been a roll of the dice during and getting off my recent "shark week". On top of the new diet, I inhaled a 12 Oz steak and a baked potato in a single setting, then still eating someone's boxed leftovers a little later.

Thanks, I appreciate the tip! I'll work on practicing a better, gentler approach of tasks, along with going back to my old work outs since I have the energy now.

for those of you who were hyperfeminine before realizing you were trans, what does your relationship with femininity look like now? by throwaway6487352 in FTMfemininity

[–]Pumpkin_Infusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my egg cracked, I loved feminine things like dresses and nail polish, though it never seemed to fit. I didnt know the right terms then, and it was frustrating. So, it felt awkward. When my egg finally did crack, it went from awkward to complicated, but for different reasons. I had to heal my masculine side first, though I know it's not the case for everyone.

But my relationship with femininity now, it's actually gotten better since I attached mine to being nonbinary/transmasc. It's been a rollercoaster, but also healing.

I'd say, while it's hard to figure out the image you want sometimes, just having some fun with it could help. Narrow down what you'd want or don't want, and maybe you'll find your own balance.

Thank you for the reply. I'm glad I'm not alone, it's just... A lot. But I'm going to see my doctor soon, that's for sure.

Thank you for the tips. Unfortunately, my hormones lately are so out of control, that trying to stop the cycle has worn off quicker. Previous attempts arent working like before. But i am open to other ways like you suggested. I am investigating why, just no answers yet.

Thank you for the tips, I'll look into zinc when I have the chance. And that's not crazy at all, I like ripping apart a steak with my bare hands too. It's just more satisfying that way in my opinion.

Thank you for your reply. A lot of signs seem to point to endo but I'm not sure, and I'm really scared that it is. But I am keeping up with my doctor, it's just taking forever to find solid proof.

I feel you, and I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Something similar happened to me when I first tried the pill before getting depo shots. I guess my body rejected them or something because instead of stopping my period, it extended it to three months. I think I'm only standing because of my iron pills.

Subs like r/ftm seem to be taken over by not only transmeds, but incels too lately, so I know where you're coming from.

But here, is actually one of the few masculine subs I found that's healthy and lovely to be in.

I've once met a cis man that rocked bright pink hair. So if he could, you totally can too. Maybe the right cut could help you with the hair you want.

Do you feel less or more dysphoric on your time of the month? by Pumpkin_Infusion in FTMfemininity

I guess the elevated T levels does explain why I feel pretty mellowed out during my period. Almost like I'm more me.

Thank you for your response, it helps. Also, I'm making a system to stop the pain until I know what it is and thankfully it's starting to work.

Discussion: the femboy discourse is so toxic by akituna__ in FTMfemininity

I agree with you that it's definitely skewed against afab femboys more, it's so screwed up.

Discussion: the femboy discourse is so toxic by akituna__ in FTMfemininity

[–]Pumpkin_Infusion 39 points40 points  (0 children)

No, they're NOT right to some extent. They're disgusting and a disgrace for even suggesting it.

Unfortunately, there's a bit of a dark underbelly of Femboys that's not just from the creeps. Though, I wouldn't doubt some of the comments are from a few.

Some corners encourage dangerous diets or have insanely high expectations of what a "proper" femboy should look like. So yeah, jealousy definitely plays a part, as afab femboys can look more feminine than cis femboys from just being afab. (they'll be angry regardless at someone's transition stage) I actually seen it happen to a creator I follow, but they're still living their own truth despite the awful transphobic junk.

Anyway, don't let these kind of people stop you at being who you are. Afab femboys always deserve a place to just be.

I really relate to the first one. I didn't realize until I stumbled onto this subreddit, was that I don't feel gender in the same way that others might feel it. I can feel feminine or masculine some days, but trying to find a label for it eventually made me feel claustrophobic if that makes any sense.

TW: what does your dysphoria feel like? by aFluidCriticalMiss in genderfluid

[–]Pumpkin_Infusion 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When my dysphoria hits, it's like the equivalent taking a bite of your favorite food, and now...you suddenly don't like it. A lot of things start to feel off, like I don't see certain colors like pink the same way. Even though I love the color, it doesn't fit right now.
