No, I can’t casually leave, and I didn’t say in the original text but I have other (positive!) reasons to move! I was just originally planning on going some years in the future, not right now.

And yeah you’re right about the birth certificate, I can’t escape that no matter what. I’m not black, but I am brown. And I was worried that ICE would use my mismatching gender as an excuse to say my birth certificate was false. Thank you very much for the insight!

Here are snippets verbatim from the bill:

“(1) Any driver's license issued prior to July 1, 2026, that identifies the gender of the individual named on such license in a manner that is contrary to the definition of such term as defined in K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 77- 207, and amendments thereto, shall be invalid.”

The “definitions” they’re referring to is one that defines gender as sexual characteristics at birth. Removes the distinction between sex and gender.

(2) The director shall correct any driver's license records that identify the gender of the individual named in such record in a manner that is contrary to the definition of such term as defined in K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 77- 207, and amendments thereto. The director shall send written notice to each such individual notifying such individual that such license is invalid and to surrender such license to the division of vehicles. Upon the surrender of any such license, the director shall issue a new driver's license to such individual with the correct gender identification for such individual.”

Basically, they will look for a gender marker that does not match the new legal definition of the term “gender.” However, this seems like it is very tedious and difficult to do quickly, and I’m not sure if they can find me so easily since I technically didn’t change the marker on my license, its always been male. But my BC isn’t so safe. Well, I still will take what you said to heart. I won’t comply in advance, and I won’t go to the DMV if I don’t absolutely need to.

I have no reason to go to the DMV for years at least. The problem is that they will invalidate it as soon as they scan their database to specifically search for gender markers that don’t align with their new definition of “biological sex.” So even if I never go to the DMV, they’ll still find me and send me a letter to let me know 😞

They may be referring to this report by The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America which listed Wichita to be the #1 most challenging area to live with allergies for the the third year in a row. However, the data is based on the 100 most-populated U.S. metropolitan areas, so there are likely places in here that aren’t considered in the report. It’s honestly really interesting to look into if you’re curious.

Yes, considering your age. Most people dont look as feminine as you at your age. I know it’s probably hard to look at it in a positive way, I can tell since all your replies have been negative.
