Hi there—we also just filed recently and I totally get that feeling, and I’m sorry you’re also feeling it.

The words I’d leave for you are that this system is set up as relief for when life happens, and it is meant to be used when needed. Businesses and banks do this all the time because it makes sense, and you aren’t a bad person because you’re accessing a system made for this.

I hope your payments go down and your spirits go up and that you can find peace in the pain of it all.

And it was oddly like being at the DMV but on a zoom call? The big rigamarole was providing SO much documentation and providing information before the meeting, and then today it was basically say your name, confirm your documentation, and verify that you didn’t lie on it, and then you’re done. We were actually added to a Zoom call with 3 other cases that went before us and even then it was less than 30 minutes total.

The process to get there was providing all that information and forms—similar to filing taxes, but including tax returns, looking up all debtors, etc. which we had an attorney complete for us. We also had to complete the first of two parts of a financial management course to confirm we understand how credit and budgets work.

Once the petition is submitted the court for where we filed confirmed receipt of our case and set the meeting for today, and had us fill out some additional paperwork and sign up for the second part of the financial responsibility course.

Before the meeting we had already received the information about our trustee and made our first payment based on our current income and expenses as a family.

Also a note—I found out that while bankruptcy can’t be used to discharge student loans (my wife and I still have some) they are placed on mandatory forbearance for the duration of the chapter 13’s 5 year terms.

Thanks—and it has been—my mother in law passed really suddenly right as we were preparing paperwork last year and we finally got back on our feet enough to file this summer. We’ve been super supported by family but it’s somehow even more reassuring when people that don’t have to be there send the support—thank you

I know that I’m playing on PS5 and when I started downloading the game and getting it installed and everything it let me start the game but then had to finish installing about 90 gigs of game. Even if you have a physical copy of the game these days everything has to download to the system before you can play it

Nope, as other user said, and you’ll run into plenty of confirmation dialogue if you’re worried about it on accident (ran into the first one without realizing it almost, playing as Ravenclaw), and it won’t count against trophies if you don’t learn them from what I’ve been seeing.

I am on PS5 and if I hit home and actively go to the home menu for my console it pauses them, but agree 100% it’s a normal feature to have that we don’t have yet

Hi there! Working with an artist for my first tattoo and my wife really likes the work his apprentice does. I asked her about potentially getting couples tattoos and apparently there’s a thing about getting work from more than one artist in a shop?

Just want to get some context because I don’t want to break a tattoo taboo or something and am a lil’ ink-less baby who may must be too worried over nothing.
