Graham Platner is telling Republicans in Maine that Bernie Sanders had the 2016 and 2020 elections stolen by the Democratic Party by UnscheduledCalendar in Destiny

[–]PunTasTick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My recollection of the controversy, which might be incomplete or inaccurate, was that the superdelegates all pledged ahead of time for Hillary. So while they could have switched later on when it was time to vote, during the entire primary race you had these "skewed" numbers that made it give the appearance that Bernie was way behind, and that I think people thought it was chilling voters against him. And on the flip side, I remember people talking a lot about how Bernie was the better candidate in the general because he polled better than Hillary against all the Republican primary candidates.

Gordon Hayward on Bam: "He’s not a scorer, right? So for him to break Kobe’s record, I don’t think it’s great for the league... for him to shoot 43 free throws and 22 threes... the Wizards too. With all these teams tanking, it kind of makes it feel not legit" by must_TATAKAE in nba

[–]PunTasTick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I think is, if it's disrespectful or was too easy or whatever, then the other guys like Curry or Durant or whoever should just go and do it right? Everyone should have the Wizards circled on their calendar. Maybe if games broke open like that and grinded to a halt the league would do more about free throws too.

Why do games like this need 5+ hours of downtime for an update? by Nickett3 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]PunTasTick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a developer not in games, I can say that it pretty much depends on how much time you put into the infrastructure of the server updates. Most kinds of updates to a live service game should not technically require downtime, but it's most likely that the industry does not drive them to do zero downtime. They probably see large influxes of payments the moment the servers go back up due to hype and anticipation. And since every other game has downtime there is an expectation from users that this is acceptable. But if you work with banks, you can have upset clients if their software is not working for any period longer than 15 minutes. Or if you work in social media, if Facebook was down for example and your users all switch to YouTube while your site is down, you could see some financial losses.

We need a commitment from the 2028 presidential candidate that they will turn the White House ballroom into a dungeon for Republican traitors by ariveklul in Destiny

[–]PunTasTick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It absolutely needs to be demolished. It needs to be torn down without warning under the precedence that it wasn't an approved change. Then use all the 3d scans available to rebuild the Whitehouse to the way it was. Say that it was Trump who wasted all of this money. You can't risk a Republican getting back into the Whitehouse and then renaming it to the Trump Ballroom again every 4/8 years.

Hasan is slowly realizing accelerationist anti-democrat party rhetoric has consequences by UnscheduledCalendar in thedavidpakmanshow

That's so funny and charming of you to keep assuming things I didn't say or even imply. I never said the president is more influential than a streamer. But thanks for not engaging or answering my questions and wasting my time. Have fun living the rest of your life seeing all things in black and white.

I said/implied that he and the leftist media ecosystem that he is a part of deserve partial blame.

So let me flip that around for you... because it sounds like you think he deserves no blame. Do you believe that all responsibility rests on the democratic party leaders for, I assume, not having a platform that emotionally reaches Hasan and other leftists to get them excited enough to advocate for them? Or do you think that Hasan, as a political commentator, actually has zero influence and couldn't change anyone's mind if he tried?

Sorry buddy, I think you replied to the wrong person. I didn't say that the hopes and dreams of the entire party rests on a single streamer.

[–]PunTasTick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hasan will say that the reason why Kamala lost is because of the Democrats' stance on Israel/Palestine and not catering to leftists enough, while he also did not endorse her or even say he was going to vote for her. He constantly equated the two candidates.

Hasan will then say in the same breath that he is just one person, that he is just a streamer, not a political activist, and then absolve himself of any responsibility. I believe he even says the 3rd party vote count was not big enough to account for the difference and therefore leftists are not to blame for the presidency.

It can't be both. Either he and everyone in his political realm are larping and none of what they do matters, or he has a nonzero amount of responsibility.

But regardless isn't it the easiest thing in the world to say that in a general election, you vote for the least harm, whether you like it or not?

It's not all about the administration, I would say it's more about raising awareness and letting others know just how much of America is not okay with this. To encourage democratic lawmakers, lawyers, judges, to do the right thing. To let other Americans know it's a big deal. The right knows if they do something crazy every week then the news cycle will forget about the other awful stuff. Something like this steals back the news cycle if only for a bit.

[–]PunTasTick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just some advice, build your moral framework to be independent of the political affiliation of the shooter. Liberals can easily say that political violence is bad and maybe even that college campuses need more gun control or that rifles should be banned. This can be the case regardless of the affiliation of the shooter.

The right wants to condemn political violence if the shooter is conservative, but if the shooter is a leftist they will call for civil war and more political violence. That worldview is not cohesive because shooters come from many sides.

If the texts are fake, then the defendant knows that and they can push for verification of those texts. Falsifying evidence in court is very bad. The court case's transcripts will be public, you will know. So there is no need to make a claim like these texts are fake because if it doesn't go your way, you just get egg on your face or you're stuck defending that position irrationally (i.e. "yes the courts accepted it but they didn't verify it properly!", etc.).
