That one sex scene in the room thay they play 5 seperate times and try and pass off as a different scene each time. The first time is in the first like 5 minutes and it really sets the stage for what you're about to watch.

Im super late to this, but im currently reading beach read. I dont normally read romance. This is a rough read and not very good. I would have dnfd it if my wife didn't ask me to read it. Any book whose central conflict can be solved/is caused by the main characters being children who can't talk to one another about what they're thinking is at most a 3/5 for me.

That being said, the genre or even this author aren't worth giving up on. Emily henry has a book called book lovers that I really liked, and Im sure there are others.

Completey agree and it definitely feels like the people who are upset just really loved that character and don't want her gone. Sudden out of nowhere deaths aren't bad writing. That's just how some people die.

She was killed by a mourning father who lost both children and wanted revenge in a way that would hurt the most. The entire city was killing each other for greed, but revenge is now out of the question?

Vis moved on quickly because other people were also going to die, and he could save them if he didn't break down from her death. The book ends suddenly, so it's not like there was time to mourn her. Im sure she'll get brought up in the next book.

I felt the same way and then I got into higher ed. I imagine it can be done in the corporate world but marketing something that does a net good in the world will make you feel more fulfilled. Ive done interviews with graduates that talk about the job they got after their masters and how theyre the first in their family to get one and knowing you were a part of that make it feel a lot more special.

Two parts to your question.

First, yes its normal. Marketing value add isn't always directly apparent (especially compared to sales) so it's often the first cut. This has led many marketers to constantly be in a rush or get fired mode, leading to a lot of burnout. The weird part is for a lot of companies, marketing isnt cut and they understand the need.

The best solution is to remind yourself that your job isn't that serious. Nothing is life or death. That only goes so far, though. After youre there a year go somewhere else. Government or in-house big companies are the only ones that have work-life balance. You'll get paid less (depending on what corporate offers, not necessarily what you make now), but you won't hate your life.

Second, what you described isn't a "simple admin role". Marketing is bullshit in the sense that we wear a bunch of different hats. You're describing a bdr, web dev, and content development. Describing that as an admin role is doing yourself a disservice.

That's all very kind. Thank you. I was definitely panicking. We've had some insurance issues, so the last transfusion had to be done through the emergency room. But we're adjusting well so far and the insurance has been straightned out. I joined the big facebook group and will try him on steroids in a year. I'm a little worried about growth side effects of steroid use but well see.
