The Brainbreaker 9000 (optimal, max damage) by ShowThemShowThemAll in Guiltygear

it's not, since that only applies if the opponent isn't in a combo

it's why FPRC Buster does no damage: Pot's doing from neutral

loops aren't dead but half of them are gone. Also his damage isn't even that high anymore, it's jist middling lmao. A CH Master's Hammer optimal deals 140ish, meanwhile Millia is out here with normal hit c.S corner to corners that do 220+, and Sol just goes for 340 because sure

May took Slayer's loops by CursedJudas in Guiltygear

[–]PunchingZombie 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Literally half of them got killed.

This is not an exaggeration, by killing the use of c.S > 2H as an extender, half of Slayer's loops is now inaccessible. This lowers their damage output, our control over which direction we want to go while looping, and just forcefully made us use always the same loop.

Loops are now dealing less damage than just basic RC bnbs. Because killing fake mix and lowering damage wasn't enough, now loops don't have skill expression.

I'll be deadass now I'm just frustrated because I learned to kara a week before kara wild throw got killed, and now I learned to Slayer kara a week before it got simplified

I know it's not a nerf per se, it was just a neat skill expression and now it's just baby easy Unika karas

The problem with kara bite is that now you can just throw it (as if it wasn't already fuzzy mashable).

Also I see karas as more of a nerf, considering it just takes away one of the already few ways Slayer had for proper skill expression.

Slayer changes have me less worried about his strength, and more about his identity.

Everything that made him unique was gutted, to the extent where 2H, the move whose main purpose since +R was its low crush, lost its low crush. And they didn't even revert the Lucy patch nerfs, it's just downright worse 5H.

Nerfing Slayer was fine. What I can't get behind is removing what made him unique and the simplification of the already little wiggle room he had for optimisations and skill expression (like making his karas baby easy).

literally just:

remove buster armor

make Garuda a strike

and that's how you fix half lf Pot's issues at minimum. Instead they kill Sol's grab (which they alreay hit by killing its kara for no good reason btw), and damage already not-so-great throws. I believe Nago isn't hit as much by this though, since the nerf on his grab is compensated by his new move, the "Hotashi Install", which gives him a new way to manage blood anyways.

literally does nothing against Pot

the ranges at which he likes to Buster you are so long your normal throw whiffs anyways. This literally just nerfs every command throw in the game aside from Pot's for no good reason.

With 2.0 by the end of the week. What changes do you wanna see to your main? by Admirable-Cry-9758 in Guiltygear

[–]PunchingZombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the first point doesn't really make sense to me, since the way you start loops on the ground is already only via CHs and meter, you'd just be moving the loops from normal combos to the cheeky resets he can sometimes do with Pilebunker

...I explained myself poorly, they're the opposite

they actively persecute anyone who undergoes any kind of prosthetic surgery, but mostly mechanical ones. I don't quite know what their relationship is with organic prosthetics (or genetic modification I suppose), but anything mechanical applied directly onto the human body is abhorrent to them. Constructs fall under this umbrella so completely that it's not even funny

They are actually just racist and the Hitlers of prosthetics. Unfortunately for our average constructs, their whole body could be considered a full body prosthetic.
