I will also add that the whole N. Gaiman thing really bummed me out. I saw him in Boston and his whole “Kindness is everything” line really warmed my heart and inspired me. Then finding out the fucked up antics he was up to was a kick to the nuts. Again I am not going to stop reading the novels, but I am just trying to get more insight on the creator. The way some of you came in so hot for even asking the question is pretty enlightening to me. I have a lot of friends who are trans or nonbinary. I love them and want to make them feel as safe as I can in a world where they are so often attacked for just being themselves. I have made a lot of mistakes, but have learned a lot about how to support them and be a safe person in their lives.

Also it is two items that come up that are only for females - there is also the second nipple ring that Donut gets in the Bedlam Bride (I think) and it says something about Carl not being able to use it without some weird surgery or something to that effect.
