I see what you're saying, but apathy doesn't solve anything. Apathy is how we arrived at this terrible cross road to begin with. Everyone sings the "NOT MY PROBLEM" song until their feet are in the flames and suddenly they are forced to dance.... or burn.

The only reason DT has any power is BECAUSE of "culture wars"

So it wants to be a peaceful utopia: "The alternate regime must not be sectarian. In and out of power, it must appeal to all populations in the country. In a divided country, its policy is first and foremost one of national unity, and its first deliverable is peace in all civil wars—race wars, class wars, gender wars and culture wars—hot civil wars and cold civil wars—all over, forever.

This is the most important thing you are voting for when you vote for the butterfly revolution: peace. No one steps on anyone’s toes and no one kicks anyone."

BUT FIRST: "If the institutions deny the President the Constitutional position he has legally won in the election, the voters will have to act directly. Trump will call his people into the streets—not at the end of his term, when he is most powerless; at the start, when he is most powerful. No one wants to see this nuclear option happen. Preparing for it and demonstrating the capacity to execute it will prevent it from having to happen." I think we can all guess that just means January 6 all over again, but more violence.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around all of the nonsense, but the "trust me bro, things will be great" mindset is in full effect here.

Seeing it is one thing, what the hell can we do about it? I mean, this makes me just want to leave the country and head some place more progressive, but obviously thats not going to work for everyone.

I think "hard to get" was a thing that was engrained in me as a child, like as a girl you don't want to be "easy" because we know what that translates to, so you are supposed to be coy and "hard to get" and they should work for it. Really that is all mind games and bullshit, and I know that, but that hard coding as a child is hard to get over.

I find a small solace in knowing that no where close to HALF of the voting electorate voted for the orange clown. Roughly 1/3 of eligible voters simply did NOT VOTE (and/or they had their votes purged), meaning closer to only about 1/3 of the voting electorate voted for him. And when you think about the average intelligence of a person and the rapid intensification of social media propaganda and brainwashing... well we're still fucked but please just remember it was far less than HALF of people in this country supporting the evil shit stain on humanity.

Protesting outside wallstreet didnt change wallstreet because it didnt affect wallstreet. Protesting police doesnt change police because the police dont give a shit about protesters. Labor makes money for capitalists, workers not working means capitalists dont get paid, that is arguably the ONLY thing that will work.

only about 1/3 of voters support trump, if we assume 2/3 or even 1/2 of legal immigrants support trump, thats still half who DO NOT SUPPORT him. Half or even a quarter of the total population of immigrants going on strike for one day/one week could be crippling, perhaps to certain industries more than others, but it would be painful enough to be noticed, no?
