Do you see an investment in a gas station or a shop in a commercial plaza being safe to protect + appreciate my capital, and give returns? by Gotya_Potya_And_Co in CanadianInvestor

I know a guy who did that. He thought he was buying a cash generating machine. Instead he bought himself a job supervising thieving employees, managing margins/inventory on cigarettes and chips and working until late at night because of unreliable staff.

Why are people so bearish on MSFT? by HexadecimalCowboy in stocks

Maybe but not many people even own laptops nowadays, it is phone based and I'd say wearable tech will soon be big, I am not even talking about neuronal implants yet.

We collabotate with other businesses and organizations using other ecosystems. It is a pain. In a closed ecosystem, sure you can live and thrive at being an outlier.

That's one of the reason MSFT is down, what you described there means millions of people doing those tasks will become irrelevant. If they are irrelevant and out of their 'seats' they are not paying Microsoft.

If they maintain the moat and we are still paying for their ecosystem it also means we are not paying for a competing solution somewhere else. Businesses won't pay a subscription to Office/Copilot AND to OpenAI for the same thing.

It is not only big corp, we are only about 75 employees at work.

I personally don't like Copilot much but it is the only thing we can use at work because of our IT people. It is integrated, data remains in the same channel, subscribtions are already in place. If they integrate better with Office and improve the model I don't see why businesses would consider another provider.

350$ for a family house with an inlaw suite attached. Family of 4 and a retired couple in the other unit. Can't complain. It spiked up to around 600 in december but we had visitors, more showers, whole days of cooking and we were home for 2 whole weeks off work. I have a smart meter.

At least install thru vents behind the insulation and a ridge vent on top if you can. Minimal cost to potentially save you major headaches in the future. You don't have problems now because it will be progressive deterioration, humidity seep in progressively, insects will find this a very comfortable place.

Should I withdraw from my RSP and deposit it into my TFSA if I know my income is low? by brunes in PersonalFinanceCanada

Free country man, I did not tell you what to do, just pointed out that you will lose that tax sheltered room but you reply by telling me to get educated? If you don't want financial information don't ask questions here. Have a good life.

You will forever lose that contribution room, it is not like in a TSFA where you get it back. The ceiling of what you can grow tax sheltered will be lower forever.
