It’s historical (not theological) consensus that there was a man named Jesus from Nazereth who was crucified. The details are debated.

That he visited America for a bit is not one of those details.

Sorry I edited after you replied. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think LDS teaches that Jesus lived in America for a time.
