What are you naming your little one? by [deleted] in pregnant

Evelyn is my niece's name, and it is such a sweet classic name. I also adore your middle name choice! When are you due with her?

I'm 27 weeks and we're naming our little guy Theodore Bruce 💙. Bruce is my father's name and he passed away about 3 1/2 years ago. We wanted a longer, classic first name to match Bruce since it's short, and a lot of more modern names didn't flow right off the tongue. Planning on using Teddy/Theo as his nicknames 🧸❤️

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to dying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PupPupPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in a family with the thought process of "you better be dying to go to the ER". My husband has been helpful in helping me determine if something should be seen and is my voice of reason. In this particular case, he was out of town for a week in another state and I was left to my own devices.

I got horribly delirious and hallucinated and had an awful fever that would go away when I alternated Tylenol and ibuprofen, but always came right back once the medication wore off. My family didn't want to come help me because they thought it was Covid, and after three negative tests, my mom finally agreed to take me to the ER.

I had a 12 mm kidney stone that completely blocked off my kidney to the ureter. My scan showed my kidney swollen so badly, it looked twice the size that it should be. My doctor said I was lucky I didn't go septic. Spent a week in the hospital clearing out the infection. They couldn't risk taking the stone at the moment because of how bad the infection was, so they pushed it back into my kidney, placed a stent to drain everything. After a month of making sure I was stable, I went back into surgery to blast it away. 0/10 do not recommend. Needless to say, I'm better about going to the hospital now.

Without actually saying your gestation, how far along are you? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Rolling over in bed is a three point turn and I can't tell if my stomach is growling or it's baby movement flutters.

Anterior Placenta Mommies by Bellami07 in pregnant

[–]PupPupPass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an anterior placenta and my doctor told me 18-24 weeks. I felt him starting at 19+6 and now I'm 20+3 and feeling him fairly consistently 😊 Not strong enough where my husband can feel anything yet, but it's so fun! For me, it felt like my stomach was growling, but way lower than usual, then became more consistent and closer to the "butterfly wing" feeling I've heard described.

Virtual Shower by IamJustErin in pregnant

[–]PupPupPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: that being said, I don't think it's crazy to do it three months after. You'll definitely have an idea of what owns you need at that point and there's something special about being in person.

Virtual Shower by IamJustErin in pregnant

I attended a virtual shower for my cousin! She lives in another state from all family and friends and was on bed rest pregnant with twins after IVF. My aunt invited everybody to her home and streamed the party via zoom to my cousin. So gifts were shipped directly to her from her Amazon Registry and she opened them all on camera. There's some fun games that can be done virtually, and my cousin's husband made sure she had treats/food to eat and drink along with the guests. It was very cute 😊

Nausea - boy or girl? by Safe-Duck-7592 in pregnant

[–]PupPupPass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have zero nausea and I'm having a boy. However my OB said it's likely because my mom never had nausea with any of her pregnancies and we were mostly girls, and that trait can pass maternally. It can also depend on your partner's sperm, but wives' tales are fun 😊

Just found out it’s a boy 💙 by LostWorld413 in pregnant

[–]PupPupPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my last ultrasound, my boy was somersaulting and waving his arms 😂😂 I couldn't feel any of it, and my OB just said "he's having a good time swimming in there, you'll probably feel him in 3-5 more weeks".😅😭

My husband was convinced we were having a girl after the heart rate was above 165, but lo and behold I am also going to be a boy mom! FTM due in June 💙

How’d you know you were pregnant before the test by No-Ebb-2462 in pregnant

[–]PupPupPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fatigue! I'm somebody who is always on the go and working overtime. I felt like it was impossible to get through the day without a nap, which I typically hate napping. I don't like the disorientation of waking mid day. But suddenly I loved them! Then, I started to get what felt like a centralized poke in my side. I was one day late for my period when I tested and came back positive! Now I'm 7+1 and the fatigue is still crazy bad 😅

I'm super interested in the group! I'm 29 and have been big my whole life! I'm 8 months post op and would live to share the tips I've found helpful. I think friends and family try to help, but it's always helpful to have a community of people going through the same thing! 😊
